Let’s talk about BID, ASK & SPREAD 📊
These are essential terms you need to get to know right away before diving into trading on any platform.
Bid: The price at which you SELL
Ask: The price at which you BUY (Always higher than the Bid)
Spread: The fees charged by the broker
Each trading pair has its own spread. Some brokers offer fixed spreads, while others may use floating spreads or a combination of both.
Understanding Pips
PIPS stands for Points in Percentages!
1 point = 10 PIPS
10 points = 100 PIPS
100 points = 1000 PIPS
For example, with GOLD:
Price moves from 2500 to 2501 (1 point, 10 pips)
Price moves from 2510 to 2520 (10 points, 100 pips)
Price moves from 2500 to 2600 (100 points, 1000 pips)
Calculating Profit / Loss
(Total lot size x Point = Overall profit / loss).
