I am always trying to convey something that can’t be conveyed, to explain something which is inexplicable, to tell about something I have in my bones, something which can be expressed only in the bones.

Call everyone, it’s her special day! ✱ 💷🐆
ㅤㅤ𑣿. With her soft, brownish locks cascading gracefully down her shoulders, Sophie Rothschild embodies a captivating blend of bittersweet joy and youthful exuberance. On October 18th, 2001 she carries an enchanting aura that evokes the delicate essence of unripe peaches nestled within a sun-drenched orchard. 🪪 With eyes that sparkle like dewdrops at dawn, Sophie embodies the magic of youth—a living reminder of the beauty found in every fleeting moment. I felt a rush of excitement and happiness. Today marked a significant milestone—Sophie Rothschild’s 23rd chapter in life! ☕️🪷 In honor of this special occasion, I decided to create a twibbon, helped by my dear boyfriend, Abu Nicolau, a vibrant digital badge that would not only celebrate her birthday but also encapsulate the essence of who she is! If you have a hard time using this twibbon, contact me via @oddletter or via my bot > @wiIdflowerbot! ㅤㅤㅤ Lots of love, Lara Noelle. ✿ ㅤㅤ

Dear Père, El Padre, Отец, or in whatever language that wraps the soul in the word ‘father.’ I apologize, for the tides of life have swept me far from your shores. I have been adrift, unable to visit Père in your home in Marseille. Only now do I take up my worn parchment and pen, hoping the long silence hasn’t troubled you too deeply. Forgive the delay, it feels like time itself drags my hand as I write. No, I am not what you say I am. Do not call me the fierce warrior, when in truth, I am nothing more than your clumsy daughter, stumbling through life’s corridors. And yet, there you stand, Père, my knight, my steadfast knight, the one who has always seen through the masks I wear. And yes, Père, I do love you. Perhaps it is too late to speak those words, but they have long lingered on my tongue. I am grateful that you have found what the French call Le Coup De Foudre that strike of love, sudden and consuming. As for me, I cannot return home just yet. Imagine me as albatross, searching for solace in the winds and waves, lost but not forever. And believe me, one day I shall return to you, for you were right all along. Your heart, Père, is a vast and boundless place, enough to celebrate the homecoming I long for. I have read Plato to understand Aristotle, Aristotle to reach Kant, Kant to unlock Hegel, Hegel to grasp Marx. But no philosophy, no towering thought can restore me to the purity of Joan of Arc’s vision, that blazing certainty she held within her soul. May you cherish what you believe in, and if in this life you cannot hold it close, then may you find it in the next. — Written 35 miles from Buitenzorg, For someone to whom I shall bring the gift of a crate of clove cigarettes.

et à Moya Sophia; Happy boyfriend's day to you too as well, my little Joan D'arc. You are père's most fierce warrior, your heart carry a burden that everybody couldn't ever imagine. Whether in love or life, père understood that you are still fighting ever so harshly for it. I love you dear son, daughter, no matter what it is. Père's heart are big enough for a place to celebrate, a place where you'd share your joy or put aside your burden then cried. And perhaps you already know how Joan of Arc felt. Don't be god's strongest soldier. We're human, we created to have an emotion and letting it out not holding it back. J'ai les yeux rivés sur toi, My sweetest child.

People are celebrating “Happy Boyfriend Day,” and I get it, that’s sweet. But there are French philosophers, intellectuals tangled in an open relationship that spanned 51 years. That’s something else entirely, a different kind of commitment.                Once upon a time... There was a convo, fleeting, like a gust of cold wind that lingers longer than it should. I remember it vividly, how he turned to me and said, “Sartre was THAT chill, I wanna be his mate, he sounds kinda fun.” He was speaking so casually, almost too casually, after I questioned why Simone, as a feminist, would accept an open relationship. We stood there, not speaking, like two figures in some unfinished painting. Me, clutching at Simone's fragile wings, refusing to let them break. He, lost in Sartre's cold rationality, like someone who thinks living for a reason makes the emptiness hurt less. I looked at him, and he was everything Sartre spoke of. He lived like a theory, a neatly folded page of meaning in a world where meaning itself is always escaping. But we aren't them..... We are not nearly so free. For the man who wore the badge that said, “for a long time ago,” even though time never truly belonged to us.                                                “So, I'm writing this for you.”

the first cerpen… the painting and those weird noises had me like ??? 🤓🤓🤓🤓 but when it got to the part about rahwana and shinta, i was straight up thinking, “honestly, maybe rahwana isn’t that bad.” honestly, i’ve got a master’s degree in yapology for that whole part where rama is being super patriarchal to shinta?????

SIGHHHHH this is gonna be the longest text i’ve sent after coming home from work [] but okay, HERE WE GOOO so, september 30th is "hari terjemahan internasional" and you just compared me to a BOOK... like a BEST-SELLER that’s been translated into over 34 language????? *tearing up* never in a million years did i expect to get cantik itu luka. that book is SO deep. there’s this whole debate whether it’s feminist or the total opposite, because with its RAW language, it’s controversial??? especially being a story about women written by men. but we both know, following the debate is fun, just gotta take the GOOD stuff from it 🤔 and that description... oh WOAW??? never knew someone SAW MEE???as a FLOWER???? because seriously, i’ve always thought flowers are WAY too pretty for someone as basic as me. and the complexity... yeah, u’re kinda right 😮 sometimes, i can’t even figure myself out, let alone expect anyone else to! but dewi ayu is STRAIGHT-UP INSANE 😥🥸 like, imagine me HOOKING up with older guy and then randomly deciding to MARRY HIM OFF to my youngest daughter. literally, not even a mind reader could handle that kind of ENERGY. dewi ayu, you are WILD, the most brilliantly CRAZY fictional goddess i’ve ever known. and those witty comments? beauty and the gritty? hmmmm, that might be pushing it because i’m DEFINITELY not that smooth, but thank you. dark history and satire? that’s TOTALLY my vibe. and omg, we CAN'T forget the epic but totally insane guys in the book like kamerad kliwon 🤯🫰🏻

Sophia, this Cantik Itu Luka is so you in book form, and here’s why... the book is all about beauty, tragedy and chaos mixed together in captivating way. You’ve got that same energy, you’re super chill on the outside with your whole cottagecore garden loving vibes (?) but deep down you’ve got this complexity that people don’t always see right away. You’re like a soft flower that can turn into a storm when it wants to, and that’s basically what this book does. And the characters in this book are going through all this drama but it’s done in a way that’s still kinda mesmerizing, just like how you manage to stay cool even when everything is getting chaotic around you. The main character Dewi Ayu she’s fierce, rebellious and a total force of nature, and to be very honest, that’s the same kind of inner strength I see in you. Also, this book has this dark, satirical edge which is so your style, you know how to drop those witty comments out of nowhere that make people laugh but also stop and think for a second, there’s a balance between beauty and the gritty reality in the story.
