What is 1267 committee of the UNSC? In simple terms, it is body at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) designates terrorists. Countries can propose name, & if countries agree, the person/group is designated as a terrorists. All 15 members of the UNSC are its members. The committee came into being under Resolution 1267, passed on Oct 15, 1999. It was initially targeting Taliban but expended to include Al Qaida, ISIL & others.
