Homo erectus =2 to 1 million years
Here is where the changes are now being made in the evolutionary tree,
Because from here it was thought that Homo erectus gave rise to,
Archaic humans around 8,00,000 years and from then arose Neanderthals around 6,00,000 years and then Homo sapiens around 3,00,000
New findings
The old fossils found in china yunxan now seems to be of a species closer to Homo sapiens and not Homo erectus.
Conclusion
So the evolution of Homo sapiens or cousins of Homo sapiens might have arisen earlier than thought and they might have simultaneously lived along with Homo erectus.
The story of evolutionary is not just a linear graph rather it’s a tree with so many branches!
