| 10 | Il documento della Casa Bianca del 22 giugno 2026, intitolato "President Donald J. Trump Ushers in the Next Frontier of Quantum Innovation", delinea un nuovo ordine esecutivo volto a potenziare le capacità tecnologiche degli Stati Uniti nel settore dell'informatica quantistica.
Ecco i punti principali del piano:
♦️ Sviluppo di un computer quantistico nazionale: L'ordine stabilisce un impegno governativo per creare il primo computer quantistico in grado di avviare l'era della "scoperta scientifica quantistica". A tal fine, sono stati incaricati i dipartimenti competenti (Energia, Difesa, Commercio) di definire specifiche tecniche, risorse necessarie e piani di valutazione.
♦️ Coordinamento governativo: Viene richiesto un coordinamento interagenzia (che coinvolge, tra gli altri, il Dipartimento dell'Energia, della Difesa, del Commercio e la comunità dell'intelligence) per allineare gli sforzi di ricerca e sviluppo, facilitando la collaborazione con l'industria privata e il mondo accademico.
♦️ Reti e sensori quantistici: È stato dato mandato di sviluppare, entro i prossimi cinque anni, piani per l'implementazione su scala nazionale di sensori e reti basati su tecnologia quantistica.
♦️ Formazione della forza lavoro: Per sostenere l'industria, il piano punta a creare "Istituti Nazionali per lo Sviluppo della Forza Lavoro Quantistica" (National Quantum Workforce Development Institutes) e ad ampliare i programmi di apprendistato certificati, per formare tecnici e scienziati specializzati.
♦️ Sicurezza della catena di approvvigionamento: Viene ordinata l'elaborazione di misure specifiche per garantire che la filiera produttiva e le capacità di fabbricazione delle tecnologie quantistiche siano sicure e sufficientemente robuste all'interno del territorio nazionale.

Il 28 aprile gli Emirati Arabi Uniti hanno annunciato la loro decisione di uscire dall'Organizzazione dei Paesi Esportatori di Petrolio (OPEC e OPEC+), con effetto dal 1° maggio 2026.
La decisione, che giunge dopo sei decenni di appartenenza all'organizzazione, è stata presa a seguito di una revisione della politica produttiva nazionale e della sua capacità.
