Regarding Pharmacy Licensure Exam Ethiopian Pharmaceutical Students Association recieved from MoH's Licensure Exam Directorate that a re-exam will be required for this year's Pharmacy Graduates Re-Exam Announcement: A re-exam with 200 questions will be conducted based on the MoH blueprint booklet. Eligibility: Only students who have successfully passed the Ministry of Education (MoE) re-exam are eligible for the upcoming licensure exam. Exam Sites: The licensure exams will be carried out in nearby exam sites, which students can choose from the form that will be released this week. Preparation Time: Even though time for preparation will be provided we urge you to start preparation from now. Stay tuned for further updates and make sure to start preparing. Ethiopian Laws Related to Pharmacy Part 5 Unlawful Exercise of the Medical Health Professions.

👉 Whoever, having neither the professional qualifications prescribed and controlled by the competent authority nor the authorization to set up in official practice required under the relevant regulations or by exceeding his authorization 👉 makes a practice of treating sick persons in no matter what form, or does so for remuneration, whether it be by consultations, treatment, the sale of remedies or any other medical activity

Ethiopian Laws Related to Pharmacy                         Part 4 Breaches of Professional Secrecy.

👉 Pharmacists,  doctors, nurses and auxiliary medical personnel, who disclose a secret which has come to their knowledge in the course of their professional duties, whether or not such duties have ended at the moment of disclosure, are punishable, upon complaint, with simple imprisonment or fine.

👉  Students, probationers or apprentices who disclose a secret which they have learned in the course of their professional training are liable to the punishment prescribed under subarticle above.

Ethiopian Laws Related to Pharmacy Part 3 Medicine advertising and promotion

👉 It shall be illegal to advertise any medicine through a means of advertisement dissemination. 👉 Any direct promotion made in-person to a health professional shall be through a medicine promoter who is duly authorized by the executive organ. 👉 It is prohibited to offer any financial or in-kind benefits to health professionals for promotion purposes, unless it falls under the maximum allowable gift. 👉 It shall be illegal to advertise medicine and medical devices or promote within health institution unless the appropriate executive organ grants permission to the advertisement.

Anyone involved in illegal or unauthorized advertising can be punished with up to three years in prison and a fine of at least Birr fifty thousand. EPSA-AA media and publication in collaboration with Mr. Temesgen Dofe (the first Ethiopian lawyer and pharmacist).

Ethiopian Laws Related to Pharmacists Part 2 Refusal to Provide Medical Assistance.

👉 Any Pharmacist, or any other person lawfully entitled to render professional attention and care, who, contrary to his duty and without just cause refuses to provide his services in a case of serious need, whether from indifference, selfishness, cupidity, hatred or contempt or any other similar motive

Ethiopian Laws Related to Pharmacy Part 1 Narcotic Psychotropic Substances. (Producing or Trafficking) Whoever, without special authorization and with the intent of trafficking:

👉 plants, produces, transforms or manufactures poisonous, narcotic or psychotropic substances; or 👉 possesses, imports, exports, transports, stores, or procures for another, one of the NPS or 👉 furnishes, leases or permits a house or land under his ownership, for the making, composition, production sale or distribution of one of the NPS,

Licensure Exam በተመለከተ የኢትዮጵያ ፋርማሲ ተማሪዎች ማህበር (ኢፋተማ) ከጤና ሚኒስቴር ጤና እና ጤና ነክ ተቋማት ቁጥጥር ዳይሬክቶሬት የተመራቂ ተማሪዎች ፍቃድ ፈተናን በተመለከተ ውጤታማ ውይይት አድርጓል። የውይይቱ ተሳታፊዎች ካሊድ በክሪ - የኢፋተማ ፕሬዝዳንት ፣ አቶ እንዳልካቸው ፀዳል - የዳይሬክቶሬት ዳይሬክተር እና ዶ/ር ሜሮን ያቆብ - ዴስክ መሪ ይገኙበታል። የውይይት አጀንዳው የተመራቂ ተማሪዎች Licensure Exam መውጣቱን እና ከመላው የኢትዮጵያ ፋርማሲ ተማሪዎች የመጡ ጥያቄዎችን በተመለከተ ነው። ➡️ የExit እና Licensure ፈተናዎች እንዴት ነው የሚከናወኑት? የተለመደው ሂደት MoH የፈተና ጥያቄዎችን አውጥቶ ለMoE መስጠቱን ያካትታል፣ ከዚያም MoE ፈተናውን አከናውኖ ከአረመ በኋለ ውጤቱን በ45 ቀናት ውስጥ ወደ MOH ይመልሳል። ➡️ ፈተናው ተሰርቋል ወይ? ተማሪዎቹ Licensure Examከወሰዱ ከአንድ ቀን በኋላ ፈተናው ነው የተባለ ፋይል በቴሌግራም ሲሰራጭ ታይቷል። ነገር ግን፣ ይህ ፋይል ከፈተናው በፊት ወይም ከዚያ በኋላ ነው ለተማሪዎቹ የደረሰው? የሚለው ግልጽ አይደለም። ስለዚህ የፈተና መሰረቁን የሚያረጋግጥ ምንም ተጨባጭ ማስረጃ እስካሁን የለም። ➡️ አሁን ምን እየሆነ ነው? MoH ፋይሉ ከፈተናው በፊት ወይም ከዚያ በኋላ ለተማሪዎቹ መድረሱን ለማወቅ ጉዳዩን በንቃት እየመረመረ ነው። የዚህ ምርመራ ውጤት፣ የድጋሚ ፈተና መኖር ወይም አለመኖር ውሳኔ በ45 ቀናት ውስጥ ይፋ ይሆናል። የድጋሚ ፈተናን በሚመለከት ውሳኔ የሚካሄደው በዚህ ምርመራ ግኝቶች ላይ በመመርኮዝ ነው። ➡️ ለምን ድጋሚ ፈተና ይኖራል? MOH ፍትሃዊ እና እኩል የሆነ የፈተና ሂደት ለሁሉም ተማሪዎች ማረጋገጥ ስለሚፈልግ የምርመራው ውጤት መሰረቁን ካረጋገጠ MoH ተማሪዎቹ በድጋሚ እንዲፈተኑ ሊወስን ይችላል። ➡️ በሚቀጥሉት 2 ሳምንታት ውስጥ ድጋሚ ፈተና ይኖራል? አይኖርም። በሚቀጥሉት 2 ሳምንታት ውስጥ ዳግም ፈተና አይኖርም ምክንያቱም ፈተናው ምርመራ ሂደት ላይ ስላለ ነው። ➡️ ድጋሚ ፈተና ቢወሰን ምን ይሆናል? መቼ እና የት ይሆናል? ምርመራው የድጋሚ ፈተና አስፈላጊ መሆኑን ካረጋገጠ፣ Exit Exam ያለፉ ተማሪዎች ድጋሚ ፈተናውን ለመውሰድ ብቁ ይሆናሉ። አብዛኞቹ ተማሪዎች ወደ ቤቶቻቸው ስለሚመለሱ፣ ወደ ዩኒቨርሲቲያቸው ከመመለስ ይልቅ በተደራሽ እና በአቅራቢያ ባሉ የፈተና ጣቢያዎች ድጋሚ ፈተናውን እንዲወስዱ ይደረጋል ። ይህ በኢትዮጵያ ውስጥ አደጋና እና ግጭት ያለባቸው አካባቢዎችን ይጨምራል። የጤና ሚኒስቴር የሚቀጥለውን የጥቅምት License Exam ሳይጠብቅ በተቻለ ፍጥነት መርሐግብር ለማስያዝ ጥረት ያደርጋል። በሂደቱ አፋተማ የተማሪዎችን ድምጽ መሰማቱን ለማረጋገጥ ይሳተፋል። ከዚህ ጋር ተያይዞ፣ ተመራቂ ተማሪዎች ከዩኒቨርሲቲ ከወጡ በኋላ የሚመለሱባቸውን ቦታዎች ለመገምገም የጉግል ፎርም ይለቀቃል። Follow us for more: Tiktok | Instagram | Facebook | Twitter | LinkedIn | Telegram | Publications Contact us @EPSA_FeedbackBot

❗️Regarding Exit Exam and Licensure Exam❗️ We have been closely observing and gaining information about the Exit and licensure exam status. It is known that Exit Exams have concluded today and the results will be released in the next few days. As for the licensure exam, we have tried to get in contact with experts in MoH and it turns out that MoH is still unsure of the exact date of the exam and is still in the decision making process. EPSA President Khalid Bekri will be having a high level discussion with the concerned bodies at MoH early next week on this issues. 💥The Ethiopian Pharmaceutical Federation Has Formed⭐️

At the Local Pharmaceutical Products Manufacturing Innovation Exhibition Today major pharmaceutical sector stakeholders including the Ethiopian Pharmaceutical Students Association (EPSA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to work together at the closing of the exhibition that was prepared by MoH for the last five days at the Millennium Hall. The MOU was signed and the Federation was announced in the presence of EFDRE's Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Temesgen Tiruneh and Ministry of Health Minister Dr. Mekdes Daba. This marks a historical event for the pharmaceutical sector and a cornerstone for further development. Congrats to all!!!!

🎉🎊 EPSA-AA successfully celebrated 12th AMR Day with a series of impactful events and speeches. 🎉🎊 ♦️The event was kicked off with an opening speech by Fasil Dejene the President of EPSA-AA. ♦️The keynote speeches were delivered by Dr. Minyahil and Mr. Atalay M., the Delegate of EPA, and Dr. Terugn from TASH Hospital ♦️Dr. Legesse Chelkeba gave an overview of AMR, highlighting the global impact of antimicrobial resistance and the urgent need for action. ♦️Dr. Daniel Basha discussed the specific initiatives and efforts undertaken by TASH to address AMR within their healthcare system. ♦️The panel discussion led by Dr. Legesse and Dr. Daniel Basha, provided a platform for in-depth conversations and exchanges of ideas on how to tackle AMR from various perspectives. ♦️ Closing Speech by TASH executive director Professor Andualem Deneke
