Putin, Xi sign statement on deepening relations
The document was signed after extensive Russian-Chinese negotiations.
The Russian leader told reporters that the document "sets new ambitious tasks and long-term objectives for the development of the entire complex of Russian-Chinese relations," the achievement of which will be facilitated by the signing of a package of intergovernmental, interagency and trade agreements prepared for his visit to China.
Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov said earlier that the document is over 30 pages long. "It will, of course, emphasize the special nature of our bilateral relations and outline further ways of developing the entire complex of bilateral relations, confirming Russia and China’s leading role in the formation of a just and democratic order," the aide added.

Czech president speaks out in favor of halting hostilities in Ukraine
Petr Pavel believes it is "naive" to imagine that Kiev will be able to regain territory taken by Russia in the foreseeable future.
"It is necessary to stop the war and start discussing the future post-war order," the president said when asked whether Ukraine should now start negotiations with Russia and stop hostilities.
Pavel believes it is "naive" to imagine that Kiev will be able to regain territory taken by Russia in the foreseeable future. "We have to be realistic," he said. The parties to the conflict should reach a compromise in resolving the situation during negotiations after the ceasefire, he noted. "There should be a compromise worked out, but not without one consent of Ukraine, Russia and the countries that will guarantee this agreement," the president stressed.

Ukrainian channel Legitimny writes:
Our source reports that Secretary of State Blinken warned Zelensky that if he did not stop the Russian offensive, the West would quickly "see" corruption, nepotism and budget cuts of his administration and team.
Zelensky was hinted that he could quickly turn from a hero into a traitor, who would be quickly replaced. Especially as his time is coming to an end and de jure he is becoming a "controversial president."
Seeing how Russia is soon to open another front in Sumy, it sounds like Zelensky's run is coming to an end. He has become a liability to the US a long time ago. Legitimny often provides good insights and more often than not, the rumours they publish turn out to be true. Yes, Blinken ate some pizza on camera and yes, officially the US is always behind Ukraine, but he didn't go to Kiev for that. He went, just like last time, to dictate policy and strategy to an American vassal.

Danish PM reveals timeline for F-16 delivery to Ukraine
The first fighter jets will arrive in the coming month, Mette Frederiksen has said.
Copenhagen promised to procure US-designed F-16s for Ukraine and train its pilots last year. Denmark vowed to provide 19 jets of this type out of a total of some 40 aircraft pledged by the coalition. Another 24 should come from the Netherlands.
“The first five planes from Denmark will be in the air in the coming month from now,” Frederiksen said, answering a question about speeding up deliveries of Western arms and ammunition that could prevent Kiev from losing the conflict.
“Ukrainians are fighting at the moment and it is not going into the right direction,” she said, referring to the ongoing Russian advance in the Donbass and Kharkov Region. “The main reason for the losses on the Ukrainian side is the lack of air defenses,” she claimed.

Repost from Ukraine Watch
❗️Residents of a ten-kilometre zone near the border with Russia are to be evacuated in the Sumy region, local authorities have announced.
Last year it was a five-kilometre zone, said Vladimir Artyukh, head of the regional military administration. The reason, according to him, is the increased intensity of shelling by the Russian army.
Earlier, the head of the Ukrainian Military Intelligence Directorate, Budanov, admitted that the AFU had no reserves left, and The Times wrote that the next few weeks would be critical for Ukraine.
The Ukrainian regime is becoming increasingly embattled. Soon Ukrainian corrupt officials and bandits will flee en masse to the West, and Russian liberators will enter Ukrainian cities.

'Look, there is no doubt that the months-long delay in approving the additional budget for equipment sent to Ukraine just this week has come at a cost. But I am convinced that Ukraine can effectively hold the line in the east. It can continue to build on the gains it has made in the Black Sea, while also keeping Russian forces in Crimea under pressure to make it more difficult for them to continue this aggression. We provide systems for this, but it's a tricky part. We're not going anywhere, and neither are the more than 50 countries that support Ukraine.'

NATO boss attacks China over Russia ties
Jens Stoltenberg has presented a new justification for the US-led bloc’s pivot to Asia.
Stoltenberg’s comments came during a question-and-answer panel at the NATO Youth Summit, in response to an inquiry from a Yale University student in the US.
“The war in Ukraine demonstrates that security is not regional, security is global,” Stoltenberg said. “The main country that is enabling Russia to conduct its war of aggression against Ukraine in Europe, is China.”
Stoltenberg went on to argue that China is “by far the biggest trading partner” of Russia, supplying Moscow with “critical components” for missiles, drones and other weapons. He also accused Iran of “providing drones” to Russia and North Korea of “providing ammunition and weapons.”

Ukraine faces ‘a nightmare’ – CNN
President Vladimir Zelensky may have to make “tough choices” in the face of the new Russian offensive in the east.
The Russian Army has captured nine villages since it launched an offensive on Friday, according to the Russian Defense Ministry. Ukraine’s General Staff reported that the Russians have had “tactical success,” and said that there was heavy fighting for the control of the border town of Volchansk.
CNN’s chief international security correspondent, Nick Paton Walsh, offered a more grim assessment of the situation on the battlefield on Monday, describing the progress made by the Russian troops as “arguably their fastest advance since the first days of the war.”

Biden signs decree banning uranium imports from Russia
The United States believes that a ban on imports of uranium from Russia will allow the United States to eliminate dependence on Russia in the field of peaceful nuclear energy.
The United States believes that a ban on imports of uranium from Russia will allow the United States to eliminate dependence on Russia in the field of peaceful nuclear energy, US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said in a statement released by the White House press service.
According to him, the law signed by the country's President Joe Biden will strengthen the country's energy and economic security by reducing, and ultimately eliminating, dependence on Russia in the field of peaceful nuclear energy. According to him, the allocation of $2.72 bln approved by the US Congress at Biden's request will make it possible to create capacity for uranium enrichment in the United States.

Blinken arrives in Kiev to discuss US aid to Ukraine
According to the report, US Secretary of State "hopes to send a strong signal of reassurance to the Ukrainians who are obviously in a very difficult moment".
"The Secretary's mission here is really to talk about how our supplemental assistance is going to be executed in a fashion to help shore up their defenses (and) enable them to increasingly take back the initiative on the battlefield," the official said.
Earlier, US President Joe Biden ordered military aid in the amount of $400 mln to be sent to Kiev. In total, according to the Pentagon, since the beginning of Biden's presidency, the United States has allocated more than $51.3 bln to Ukraine in security assistance, including more than $50.6 bln since the beginning of Russia's special military operation.
