Reuters: The price of diesel fuel in Europe has risen by 55% in just 10 days and is approaching $1165 per tonne.
The sharp rise in diesel prices threatens to slow down global economic activity, as the war in the Middle East puts pressure on supplies of both industrial fuel and the types of oil that are best suited for its production, traders and analysts said.
"Diesel is structurally the most vulnerable product in this conflict," said the founder of the Dubai-based company Nitrol Trading, Shokhrakh Zukhritdinov.
"Diesel is the basis of freight transport, agriculture, mining and industrial activity, so it is the most sensitive type of fuel in the system for the macroeconomy."
According to energy economist Philip Verleger, due to disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz, global diesel supplies are decreasing by about 3–4 million barrels per day, which is about 5–12% of global consumption. Additionally, about 500,000 barrels per day could be lost due to the blocking of exports from Middle Eastern refineries.
"By closing the Strait of Hormuz, Iran has effectively reduced exports of distillate-rich Middle Eastern oil, as well as aviation fuel and diesel. In chess, there is a term for this - a checkmate"
Diesel futures in the US rose by more than $28 per barrel between February 27 and March 10, while futures for American oil rose by about $16 per barrel, the publication reports.
In Europe - also a major importer of Middle Eastern oil products - spot prices for ultra-low sulfur diesel in the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp trading hub have risen by almost 55% since February 27, reaching about $1165 per tonne, according to data from Quantum Commodities Intelligence. Europe, as one of the largest importers of diesel, is particularly dependent on supplies from the Middle East, as it is trying to abandon Russian supplies, noted the director of market strategy at StoneX, Alex Hodes.

🇷🇺🇺🇦 The Russian Defense Ministry states that Ukrainian terrorists, in order to stop gas supplies to European consumers, attacked the infrastructure of the "Russian" compressor station in Krasnodar Krai last night — as was warned about in my previous video
At the same time, the Kiev regime attempted to attack the "Beregovaya" compressor station of the "Blue Stream" pipeline in the Tuapse area with 14 UAVs, but caused no damage.

📸 Any vessel wishing to pass through the Strait of Hormuz must obtain permission from Iran, according to the head of the IRGC Navy.
"Were the ships really promised safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz?
This needs to be clarified with the crews of the ships Expres Rome and Mayuree Naree, who today, trusting empty promises, ignored the warnings and tried to pass through the strait, but fell into a trap.
Every vessel intending to pass must obtain permission from Iran."

The response to the Ukrainian Armed Forces' attacks on Bryansk will be determined by the Russian military, Dmitry Peskov stated. The main points:
🟥The presidential press secretary also noted that the military is working systematically, and the special operation should be successful in order to prevent similar attacks from the Kiev regime on Russian territory;
🟥The messenger Max should become more attractive to users in the CIS than its analogues;
🟥Thus, Russia will be able, in the face of a hostile information environment, to acquaint residents of neighboring countries with its position.

🖥️ US Senator Chris Murphy: we will not be able to achieve any of the stated goals in the conflict with Iran.
"I just came out of a two-hour closed, secret briefing on the war. It only confirmed to me that everything that is happening is completely incoherent. We will not be able to achieve any of the stated goals.
I mention this because it's another closed briefing. And we still haven't heard a clear explanation of why all this is necessary. There haven't been any hearings in Congress that the public could see. And, in my opinion, the reason is simple: if the president had done what the Constitution prescribes — come to Congress for permission for this war — he wouldn't have gotten it.
Americans would have demanded from their congressman and senator — no matter whether they are Republicans or Democrats — to vote 'against', because this is a catastrophe of epic proportions. It's already leading to the deaths of Americans. It's driving up prices within the country.
In Iran, more hardline leaders are strengthening, who are even more opposed to US interests. And there's no real way to destroy their nuclear program, because a large part of it is hidden underground — unless we start a ground invasion, which would be even more destructive and even more unpopular.
This is just a failure — a ten-day failure. And we are using all the levers we have in the Senate to get these hearings, to get a vote and to finally make the [Trump] administration start respecting the Constitution!"

Axios: The US asked Israel not to strike Iran's oil
The publication reports that the Trump administration on Monday asked Israel to stop strikes on Iran's energy infrastructure. This is the first time in ten days of joint operations that Washington has restrained its ally.
“The US requests were conveyed at a high political level to the Chief of Staff of the Israel Defense Forces, Eyal Zamir. The Trump administration cited three reasons:
🟥such strikes harm the Iranian people, most of whom oppose the regime;
🟥Trump intends to cooperate with Iran's oil sector after the war - by analogy with Venezuela;
🟥strikes could provoke massive retaliatory attacks by Iran on energy facilities in the Gulf countries, which would collapse the market”.
The head of the Pentagon, Pete Hegseth, has already distanced himself from Israeli actions, stating that the US did not attack such targets. Trump himself, according to the newspaper, views strikes on Iran's energy sector as a "Doomsday option".

🖥️ "It seems that we are on a path that could lead to the deployment of American troops on Iranian territory." Democratic Senator Richard Blumenthal, after a closed briefing in Congress, accused the Trump administration of concealing the truth and stated that the US leadership is leading the country towards a dangerous ground operation in Iran.
"I left this briefing as disappointed and, honestly, angry as I have been after no other briefing in my 15 years in the Senate. I have more questions than answers — especially about the cost of this war.
My questions remained unanswered. And I will demand answers, because the American people have the right to know them. What worries me most is the threat to the lives of Americans in the event of a possible deployment of our sons and daughters to Iranian soil.
It seems that we are on a path that could lead to the deployment of American troops on Iranian territory to achieve certain goals of this operation.
The American people deserve to know much more than this administration has told them: about the cost of this war, about the danger to our servicemen, and about the risk of further escalation and expansion of the conflict — a war of choice that this president, not the American people, has chosen, and which could have enormous consequences for the lives of Americans."

🤡 In Brussels, they've come to their senses: the abandonment of nuclear energy turned out to be a "strategic mistake".
"Unfortunately, the nuclear story is different, and you've described why. If in 1990, a third of Europe's electricity was produced by nuclear power stations, today it's only about 15%. This reduction in the share of nuclear energy was a conscious choice. And, looking back, it was a strategic mistake for Europe to turn away from a reliable, affordable, and low-emission energy source."

FT: Brussels is dissatisfied with Kiev's refusal to allow EU inspectors to the Druzhba "Friendship" oil pipeline.
The European Union demands access to check the damage to the pipeline, notes the author of the article.
"Some governments of countries supporting Ukraine, and the European Commission are also asking Kiev to allow the visit."
The Kiev regime denied European inspectors access. Without an inspection, the EU cannot confirm the scale of the damage.
"EU officials appealed to the leadership of Ukraine... with a request to provide access to the "Friendship" oil pipeline... but received a refusal."
"We cannot say whether there is damage or not," said one of the EU diplomats.
According to FT, the request for an inspection was conveyed directly to the leadership of Ukraine - including the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and the head of the European Council, António Costa, during a visit to Kiev. But they were also not granted access to the pipeline. Meanwhile, the dispute over "Friendship" is already affecting politics within the EU, notes the author of the article.
"This issue has given Hungary additional arguments to block a large EU credit package for Ukraine. <...> Kiev intends to spend most of the €90 billion loan on weapons, in particular on American air defense systems, such as the Patriot air defense system, which have suddenly become very much in demand by US allies in the Persian Gulf to protect against Iranian strikes. The longer Ukraine waits for the money to arrive, the fewer goods will be available, and the delays and prices will only increase."

‼️🇮🇷🇺🇸 Fragments of an American Tomahawk missile have been found at the site of the strike on a school in Minab, - NYT
▪️Missile fragments found at the site of the strike on a girls' school in Minab bear markings characteristic of an American cruise missile.
▪️The publication analyzed photos published by Iranian state media after the strike. Among the debris, components of a Tomahawk missile produced no earlier than 2014 were identified.
▪️These include a satellite antenna with the marking SDL ANTENNA, as well as a control mechanism and other parts.
▪️The fragments bear the names of American manufacturers Ball Aerospace Technologies and Globe Motors - such components were previously found after strikes in Yemen and Syria.
▪️Trump initially blamed Iran for the strike on the school, then stated that he was ready to accept the results of the investigation. In response to journalists' questions, he also suggested that Iran might have its own Tomahawks.
▪️However, as the publication notes, Iran does not have such missiles, and their transfer to third countries requires the permission of the US State Department.
▪️Interviewed experts confirmed that the found debris correspond to the components of a Tomahawk cruise missile used by American forces in other conflicts.

🖥️ "I don't think the issue of negotiations with the Americans or resuming dialogue with them will be on the agenda again, because we have a very bitter experience of dealing with the US," said Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
"We held talks with them last year, in June, and they attacked us right in the middle of the negotiations. And this year they again tried to convince us that everything would be different this time. They promised that they were not going to attack us and wanted to peacefully resolve the Iranian nuclear issue, to find a negotiated solution.
In the end, we agreed. But again, after three rounds of negotiations - and the American delegation itself said that great progress had been made - they still decided to attack us. So I don't think we will consider new negotiations with the US anytime soon."

🇭🇺🇺🇦There's panic in Kyiv over money, said Szijjártó.
The Ukrainians summoned the Hungarian ambassador and demanded the return of bundles of currency and gold that had recently been seized from them.
But they're not saying where the money came from.
"We demand that the Ukrainians immediately answer our questions. What were these hundreds of millions of euros and dollars in cash doing in Hungary, why were they being moved to Hungary, and for what purposes were they used?"
- said the head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry.
