A lot of feelings come up when I see this picture. This was taken about 8 years ago with my Late grandfather right before he passed away from Medical complications. He was my biggest role model. I felt helpless & scared at this point in time. I’m smiling because I’m nervous and have no idea how to feel… This situation made me feel incapable in a lot of ways. My entire family made a big deal about the medical expenses & ultimately he couldn’t get the treatment needed that would’ve given him a better chance at beating his disease. While I was Working a restaurant job, running around with girls, smoking w**d everyday (which made me 10x less productive than I needed to be), partying on the weekends and breaking the law to make extra money…I remember thinking how would I ever be able to help someone I care about if they were having a medical dilemma like this. There was no way I could be a financial rock for anyone to lean on. Sure I was 19 years old & most young men that age couldn’t be a dependable financial option but it still scared the sh*t outta me. And it crushed me to not have any control of this situation to help the man who helped me in so many ways and still does today even after his passing. Fast forward to 8+ years later & it’s actually insane that sports betting & my grandfathers lessons has put me in that position I so desperately wanted to be in. I am incredibly grateful to be financially prepared for anything that comes our way. 🙏🏼 Thanks to Grandpa & Thanks to Vegas 🤝 STAY SHARP ❤️
