Where did the custom of manicure come from? In ancient Greece there was a position called "kosmeta". As you might guess, the word comes from the Greek word for "cosmos," which translates to "order”. Thus, well-groomed nails are a step toward harmony. The cosmets were slaves, and their duties included bathing Greek citizens in special baths with aromatic oils, massaging them, applying makeup and a special "nail polish" consisting of animal fat and blood. The same was done by beauticians in ancient Rome in the 2nd century BC. It is believed that nail polish was invented in Ancient China in the XXX century BC. It was used to cover the long nails of the monarchs and people belonging to the higher classes. And in the Ming Dynasty in the 14th century A.D., women used to grow nails up to 25 cm long in order to ward off evil spirits. Long and well-groomed nails for women were considered as a kind of amulet against evil, and for men as a sign of masculinity. @easy_why

General Englishni o'stirish uchun, Reading comprehensionni o'stirish uchun darajasi pastroqlar uchun mustaqil o'rganish uchun ilmiy kitob. National Geographic ishlab chiqqan haqiqiy ilmiy maqolalar, faqat soddalashtirilgan. Men darslarimda ko'p ishlatganman. 1-kitob Elementarylar uchun mos kelsa kerak, 2 va 3 undan sal yuqoriroq. Yozgi ta'tilda tugatsangiz balkim...🫠 @Sojida_Karimova
