+1A 22-year-old named Mohammed Abbas has been arrested by the West Bengal police for the brutal murder of a young Hindu girl in Matigara. The girl, referred to as Pratima Pradhan or Diya in different news articles, was attacked by Abbas as she was returning home from school. He reportedly used a brick to smash her face. Tragically, the victim, a Class 11 student at a Nepali medium school, was discovered lying in a pool of blood and passed away. Her body was sent to the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for an autopsy. Abbas has been placed in police custody for 10 days. Local residents expressed their outrage over the killing and threw stones at the police.
It is possible that this incident may not receive coverage from some popular YouTubers like Dhruv Tatee, Mohak Mangal (Soch), and prominent news portals.
