Sindh: A Region Deprived and IgnoredThe Sindh region of Pakistan, rich in culture and history, stands today as a symbol of neglect and exploitation. Despite being a major contributor to the national economy through its ports, agriculture, and natural resources, Sindh continues to face acute problems - foremost among them, water scarcity. The Indus River, lifeline of Sindh, is increasingly diverted upstream, depriving the province of its rightful share. Canals run dry while farmland turns barren, pushing rural communities into poverty. This systemic deprivation mirrors the condition of Balochistan, where natural wealth is extracted but local communities are left impoverished. Like Balochistan, Sindh suffers from federal policies that centralize power and resources in Punjab - dominated institutions, leaving provincial autonomy hollow in practice. The people of Sindh are increasingly aware of this injustice. Many now believe that the only path to justice is one of self-determination just as the people of Balochistan have long demanded. The call for political and economic sovereignty is growing louder. If Pakistan continues its policies of marginalization, Sindh may well follow Balochistan’s footsteps in demanding a future that respects its rights, resources, and identity. 💫 @OffBeatPosting
