The forthcoming Telegram update, which, as Durov says, is supposed to revolutionise the way people express themselves in messaging, has been stuck in Apple's "review" for a fortnight, with no explanation or any withdrawal from Apple. One can imagine the difficulties that smaller app developers face. It is not only demoralising for developers, but also financially damaging for hundreds of thousands of mobile apps around the world. In addition, Apple and Google charge a 30 per cent tax on developers to pay for the resources required to review apps.
