It’s Friday so send abundance of salawat upon the prophet ﷺ اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ

Alhamdulillah, It's Jum'ah! 1. Send lots of salawat on our beloved Prophet ﷺ🤍 2. Ghusl, Perfume, Dress well & go to the Masjid early. 3). Read Surah Al-Kahf 4. Say lots of du'a (especially between Asr and Maghrib) Share with others!

Imām ar-Rāzī رحمه الله said: "What I have experienced throughout my life is that whenever a person relies on anything other than God in any matter, it becomes a cause of affliction, hardship, distress, and calamity. But if a servant relies on God and does not turn to any of His creation, he will achieve his goal in the best possible way." 📖 - al-Tafsīr al-Kabīr

Imām al-Ghazālī رحمه الله: "A sign of love for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ is that a person frequently remembers him, yearns for him, follows his Sunnah, and is grieved by any disrespect shown to him." 📖 - Iḥyā’ ‘Ulūm al-Dīn

A man once came to Ḥudhayfah ibn al-Yamān رضي الله عنه and said: "I fear being a hypocrite" So Ḥudhayfah replied: "Do you pray when you are alone? And do you seek forgiveness when you sin?" The man said "Yes" So Ḥudhayfah said "Go, for Allah has not made you a hypocrite."

Imām al-Ghazālī رحمه الله said: "The Dunya is like a shadow. If you try to catch it, you will never succeed. But if you turn your back on it and walk away, it has no choice but to follow you." 📖 - Ihyā' 'Ulūm al-Dīn

The Prophet ﷺ said: “Allah is more pleased with the repentance of His servant than one of you who finds his lost camel in a desert.” — Sahih Muslim 2747

“Indeed, Allah loves those who are constantly repentant and loves those who purify themselves.” — Qur’an 2:222

“Say, ‘O My servants who have transgressed against themselves, do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful.’” — Qur’an 39:53

Anas (rh), who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: Allah the Almighty said: “O son of Adam, so long as you call upon Me and ask of Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind. O son of Adam, were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky and were you then to ask forgiveness of Me, I would forgive you. O son of Adam, were you to come to Me with sins nearly as great as the earth and were you then to face Me, ascribing no partner to Me, I would bring you forgiveness nearly as great as it.” by at-Tirmidhi (also by Ahmad ibn Hanbal).

Wahb bin Munabbih رحمه الله said: “Whoever is afflicted with some calamity, he has been taken on the path of the prophets!” [Hilyat Al-Awliya: 4/56]

A major chunk of purifying the soul and becoming closer to Allah is studying yourself, your habit, your triggers, your blind spots. This will give you a way to measure your iman, and build a better relationship with Allah.

Bilal Bin Sad رحمه اللّٰه said: “Righteous deeds are not accepted along with (these) three things: 1. Shirk (Major and Minor) 2. Kufr. 3. Opinion. He was asked: “What is ‘Opinion’?” He said: “Ignoring the book of Allah and the Sunnah of Allah’s Messengerؐ and acting upon one’s own opinion.” أبو نعيم في الحلية ٥/٢٢٩

Before sentencing Omar al-Mukhtar to death, the Italian judge asked him: — Did you fight against the Italian state? Omar al-Mukhtar: Yes. — Did you encourage people to fight against the Italian state? Omar al-Mukhtar: Yes. — How many years did you fight against Italy? Omar al-Mukhtar: About 20 years. — Do you regret what you did? Omar al-Mukhtar: No. — Do you know that you will be executed? Omar al-Mukhtar: Yes. Surprised, the judge said: — It is very sad for a man like you to meet such an end… Omar al-Mukhtar replied: — On the contrary! This is the most beautiful way for my life to end. The judge then offered to acquit him and send him into exile if he wrote a declaration ordering the resistance fighters to end their struggle. Omar al-Mukhtar responded with his famous words: “These fingers, which testify in every prayer that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad (peace be upon him) is His Messenger, can never write anything false! We do not surrender: we either win or die.

Benefits of sending salawat upon the Prophet ﷺ 1) The person sending Salah is following the command of Allah. 2) Allah will send ten salawat on him everytime he sends Salah upon the Prophet ﷺ 3) The person is raised ten levels. 4) Ten good deeds are written for him. 5) Ten sins are erased from him. 6) His Du'a is likely to be accepted if he sends Salah at the beginning of the du'a. 7) Allah is sufficient for him from all his worries. 8) Sending Salah is a means to attaining the Prophet's ﷺ intercession. 9) It is a means to attaining forgiveness for one's sins. 10) It's a means to getting close to the Prophet ﷺ on the day of judgement. 11) It's a means to be saved from the terrors of the day of judgement. 12) It's a means to remembering something one forgot. 13) It's a means to attaining barakah in one's self, actions and life. 14) The Prophet ﷺ responds to the person who sends Salah and Salam upon him. 15) The one who always sends Salah upon the Prophet ﷺ will increase in love for him. اللهمَّ صلِّ على محمَّد وعلى آل محمَّد، كما صليتَ على إبراهيم وعلى آل إبراهيم، إنَّك حميدٌ مجيد. اللهمَ بارِك على محمَّد وعلى آل محمَّد، كما باركتَ على إبراهيم وعلى آل إبراهيم، إنَّك حميدٌ مجيد

Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah رحمه الله on the benefits of salah: Prayer is something that causes one to receive sustenance. It is something that safeguards one’s physical health. It keeps away harmful things. It casts away illnesses. It strengthens the heart. It brightens one’s countenance. It delights the soul. It gets rid of laziness. It makes the limbs active. It increases one’s physical strength. It expands the chest (making one at ease and giving him insight). It is nourishment for the soul. It illuminates the heart. It safeguards one’s blessings. It repels catastrophes. It brings on blessings. It keeps away the Shaytaan (the Devil). It draws one close to Ar-Rahmaan. [Source: Zaad al-Ma’aad 4/304-305]

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 Between Asr and Maghrib on Friday lies a time when the gates of the heavens are opened and duas are not rejected.
