They will enter into a dialogue with HSE students who went on an exchange to Türkiye last year and who also have something to tell about this vibrant city. The speakers will compare attitude towards foreigners in Russia and Türkiye, discuss the way of life of students from both countries, as well as share tips and life hacks.

| 12 | Have you ever wondered about the history of the traditional Russian doll Matryoshka?
We share information about the famous souvenir, which everyone can paint themselves at the master class, which will be held on December 16!
The details are in the previous post.
💠Matryoshka dolls originated in Russia in the late 19th century. The first set was carved by Vasily Zvyozdochkin and painted by Sergey Malyutin.
💠The name "Matryoshka" is derived from a female name "Matryona". The dolls are seen as a symbol of fertility and represent the concept of "nested" identity, with each layer revealing a new aspect of a person or culture.
💠The dolls are made from wood. They became a form of artistic expression, with artists creating unique designs. Some sets feature intricate patterns, while others depict scenes from Russian folklore and nature.
💠Overall, Matryoshka dolls are culturally significant, they serve as a tangible representation of craftsmanship and creativity.
