Subject: Enhancement of Dearness Allowance (DA) from 60% to 63% w.e.f. 01.07.2026.
In pursuance of Ministry of Finance, Government of India, O.M. No. 1/2(i)/2026-E.II(B) dated 29.10.2026, the Competent Authority has approved the enhancement of Dearness Allowance (DA) from 60% to 63% of Basic Pay for all eligible employees of AIIMS Bhubaneswar, with effect from 01.07.2026.
This issues with the approval of the Competent Authority.

Mpox — Short Notes
Mpox: An infectious disease caused by the monkeypox virus (MPXV).
Virus family: Poxviridae
Genus: Orthopoxvirus
Transmission: Mainly through close skin-to-skin contact with an infected person or contact with contaminated materials.
Symptoms: Fever, headache, muscle aches, swollen lymph nodes, and skin/mucosal lesions.
Incubation period: Usually 1–21 days.
Duration: Usually 2–4 weeks.
Diagnosis: Mainly by PCR testing of lesion material.
Clades: Clade I and Clade II.
Older name: Monkeypox.
Important distinction: Mpox is different from chickenpox and smallpox.
