#STRANGERENTAL ANNOUNCEMENT Since 2023, STRANGER RENTAL has been a home for fleeting hearts — a space where strangers met under borrowed stars, sharing warmth, laughter, and stories that bloomed in borrowed time. What began as a small corner soon became a world of its own, where unfamiliar souls found comfort in the strange. Now, as the clock turns and our story reaches its twilight, we must say goodbye. On October 21st, 2025, Stranger Rental will close its chapter permanently. Every tale has an ending — and ours, too, must rest. To every Rangers and Creatures who once wandered through our doors — thank you for making this space feel alive, for the late-night talks, the laughter, and the quiet moments that needed no names. We’re sorry this journey must end, but endlessly grateful for the magic you brought into it. May the echoes of our brief hellos linger softly in your memory. 6	+2 Peringatan: Demokrasi Dikepung di Jalanan Ibu Kota Di jantung negara demokrasi, suara rakyat seharusnya bergema tanpa rasa takut. Namun akhir Agustus 2025 menjadi saksi bisu ketika palu kekuasaan menghantam mimbar kebebasan. Di depan gedung perwakilan rakyat, yang terjadi justru pengingkaran terhadap hak paling dasar: hak untuk bersuara. Tanggal 25-28 Agustus 2025 akan tercatat dalam sejarah sebagai hari ketika demokrasi kita mengalami ujian terberat. Catatan Kelam Empat Hari yang Mengguncang Nurani Sementara di balik tembok gedung mewah, para wakil rakyat mungkin sedang menari-nari di atas panggung kekuasaan, rakyat yang mereka wakili justru terjepit di antara aspal panas dan pentungan baja. Sebuah ironi yang menyayat: ketika rakyat berteriak meminta keadilan, para penguasa justru asyik berpesta dalam gemerlap kursi empuk. Sejak 25 Agustus, gelombang manusia membanjiri jalan-jalan menuju DPR RI. Mereka datang dengan harapan, dengan keyakinan pada proses demokratis. Namun yang mereka terima adalah pelajaran pahit tentang kekerasan negara. Aparat yang seharusnya melindungi, justru berbalik menjadi ancaman. Ratusan pelajar masa depan bangsa mengalami penangkapan dan penganiayaan. Bahkan yang memilukan, hampir dua ratus di antaranya masih di bawah umur yaitu anak-anak yang seharusnya berada di kelas, justru mengalami trauma kekerasan negara. Dunia jurnalisme pun tak luput dari amuk kekuasaan. Para jurnalis yang menjalankan tugas mulia pencari fakta justru menjadi sasaran amarah. Kebenaran menjadi musuh yang harus dibungkam. Tragedi mencapai puncaknya pada 28 Agustus. Affan Kurniawan, pengemudi ojek online yang sedang mencari nafkah, tewas mengenaskan terlindas mobil taktis Brimob. Rekannya, Umar, selamat tapi harus berjuang melawan luka-luka berat. Kematian Affan menjadi simbol nyata bagaimana nyawa rakyat dianggap remeh oleh penguasa. Yang lebih memprihatinkan, beredar laporan bahwa polisi menggunakan gas air mata kedaluwarsa terhadap massa. Tindakan yang tidak hanya brutal tetapi juga menunjukkan sikap ceroboh terhadap keselamatan masyarakat. Di tengah tragedi kemanusiaan ini, muncul narasi-narasi pengalihan isu. Alih-alih mempertanyakan kekerasan aparat, sebagian pihak justru menyoroti peran pelajar dan pekerja yang turun ke lapangan. Seolah-olah nyawa manusia dan hak konstitusional warga negara bisa dikalahkan oleh argumentasi sempit tentang ketertiban. Permintaan maaf Kapolda dan pemeriksaan terhadap 7 anggota polisi adalah langkah awal, namun tidak cukup untuk mengobati luka yang sudah terlanjur dalam. Kematian Affan tidak bisa ditebus dengan permintaan maaf. Trauma ratusan pelajar tidak akan hilang dengan pemeriksaan biasa. Kini saatnya kita membuktikan bahwa demokrasi bukan hanya kata-kata. Mari kita jaga bersama api perjuangan ini dengan cara: - Menyebarkan informasi yang benar tentang peristiwa ini - Mengawal proses hukum hingga tuntas tanpa kompromi - Mengingat setiap korban dan memperjuangkan keadilan untuk mereka - Menolak segala bentuk narasi yang mengalihkan dari substansi kekerasan negara Jangan biarkan nyawa Affan dan trauma ratusan pelajar sia-sia.
