Learning from Gandhi ji Incident happened during rail journey- Gandhi was seated in the first-class compartment, as he had purchased a first-class ticket. A White person who entered the compartment hastened to summon the White railway officials, who ordered Gandhi to remove himself to the van compartment since 'coolies' (a racist term for Indians) and non-whites were not permitted in first-class compartments. Gandhi protested and produced his ticket, but was warned that he would be forcibly removed if he did not make a gracious exit. As Gandhi refused to comply with the order, a White police officer pushed him out of the train, and his luggage was tossed out onto the platform. This humiliation made him an activist to fight for his rights. Being an activist, he developed the strategy known as Satyagraha (truth-force), in which campaigners went on peaceful marches and presented themselves for arrest in protest against unjust laws. This tool influenced the civil rights movement in the United States and the African National Congress in its early years of struggle against apartheid in South Africa. Where u can use 1. Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom. --Aristotle 2. Slow and steady wins the race, not the person who wants to climb the whole stairs in one stride. 3. DETERMINATION -- WILL POWER'

The Scorpion and the Frog The Scorpion and the Frog is a fable about trust, human nature and malevolence. One of the many versions goes as follows: A scorpion asks a frog to carry him over a river. The frog is afraid of being stung, but the scorpion argues that if it did so, both would sink and the scorpion would drown. The frog then agrees, but midway across the river the scorpion does indeed sting the frog, dooming them both. When asked why, the scorpion points out that this is its nature. The moral of the story: You can’t outsmart human nature. Be realistic about changing vicious people; sometimes they even act against their own interests.

#Story --Meet Virali Modi who defied all odds to become a disability champion -- WILL TO BRING CHANGE As a wheelchair-bound woman in India, it was difficult to do something as simple as taking a train. After being groped and molested by porters while boarding a train and facing other difficulties while on board, Virali decided to do something to make rail transport more accessible. That is when she started filing a petition on change.org #MyTrainToo- to make the Indian Railways disabled-friendly. Though Virali's letter went viral and she followed it up by filing complaints addressed to the PMO and Railway Ministry, she didn't receive any response from either of them. However, all her struggles appeared to be worth it when her story caught the eye of a railway official from Kerala. This was followed by Kerala’s Ernakulam, Kochi and Thrissur stations introducing disabled-friendly infrastructure in 2018. It did not stop there, Chennai, Hyderabad and many others joined the wagon and revamped their railway stations. “A permanent ramp has been built in the station for wheelchairs. The porters who carry luggage at the railway station have also been trained to help specially-abled people. The authorities had made the lounges and washrooms wheelchair-accessible.

NOVAK DJOKOVIC Following a challenging defeat in the 2010 French Open, Novak Djokovic, a renowned tennis grand slam winner ranked No. 3 globally, contemplated quitting tennis. Overwhelmed by the pressures of rankings and external expectations, he confided in his coach, Marián Vajda. In response, Vajda posed a crucial question to Djokovic: Why did he start playing tennis in the first place? Reflecting on his early memories, Djokovic realized his love for a mini tennis racket and soft foam ball, which ignited his passion for the sport. Encouraged by Vajda, Djokovic chose to prioritize the joy of playing over external demands. From that moment on, he embraced the sheer pleasure of playing for its own sake. The subsequent season witnessed Djokovic’s remarkable transformation. He achieved one of the greatest seasons in sports history, securing 43 consecutive victories, claiming three Grand Slam titles, including his first Wimbledon win, and culminating as the world’s top-ranked player. By reconnecting with his genuine passion for tennis, Djokovic played with newfound freedom, rediscovering the pure joy of being a carefree kid on the court. This inner connection paved the way for his phenomenal success. Learnings from his life: Balancing Ambition with Enjoyment, Embracing a Playful Mindset, Being True to Yourself, Focusing on Intrinsic Rewards, Authenticity and Self-Awareness and Passion and Love for the thing you are doing.

The Drunkard The Drunkard is a story with a moral about seeking truth and wisdom. A policeman sees a drunk man searching for something under a streetlight and asks what the drunk has lost. He says he lost his keys and they both look under the streetlight together. After a few minutes the policeman asks if he is sure he lost them here, and the drunk replies, no, and that he lost them in the park. The policeman asks why he is searching here, and the drunk replies, “this is where the light is”. The moral of the story: Truth and wisdom are found where you least want to look.
