Submit your resignation as fuckface whisperer posthaste. You are not responsible for correcting every idiot on the entire internet. Come back to center and restore your own peace. Social algorithms are crafted to stoke arguments in support of driving more engagement by triggering a dopamine response. When you engage with people simply because "someone you don't know is wrong on the internet," you are neither protecting your own peace, nor your own energy, and you are giving all of your energy to social and to trolls or people stuck in an addictive relationship with having arguments instead of keeping your energy for yourself - where it belongs. What can you do to better utilize your energy for yourself rather than pissing it away on strangers who aren't going to change their minds anyway? This post is meant to serve as a research repository. This is a round up of some of the research I have done in recent years that I thought you all might want. All of these aspects interlock to paint a larger picture. I haven't done anything like this in a while. So, feel free to bookmark them and share them, to use them as references for your own articles (if you do this, please send me the links so I can post your pieces here for everyone also), and to help your friends and loved ones either as resource guides or as informational tools so that they can immerse themselves in these topics quickly. Most of these posts contain an "Additional Resources" section with lengthy bibliographies that will help you with any of the potential use cases above.
