| 3 | Künstliche Intelligenz und das „Bild des Tieres“ in Offenbarung 13
Bereits vor fast 2.000 Jahren beschreibt die Offenbarung etwas, das erstaunliche Parallelen zur heutigen künstlichen Intelligenz aufweist. In Offenbarung 13,14–15 wird ein „Bild des Tieres“ geschaffen, dem „Geist“ gegeben wird, sodass es sprechen kann:
„Und es ward ihm gegeben, daß es dem Bilde des Tieres den Geist gab, daß des Tieres Bild redete und machte, daß alle, welche nicht des Tieres Bild anbeteten, getötet würden.“
Das Bild des Tieres ist damit kein gewöhnliches, lebloses Abbild. Ihm wird „Geist“ gegeben, und anschließend spricht es. Aus heutiger Perspektive erinnert diese Beschreibung unmittelbar an künstliche Intelligenz: Ein künstlich geschaffenes digitales Abbild kann heute sprechen, auf Menschen reagieren, Fragen beantworten und selbstständig mit ihnen kommunizieren.
Hinzu kommt, dass dieses sprechende Bild mit umfassender Macht und Kontrolle verbunden ist. In Offenbarung 13,16–17 heißt es:
„Und es macht, daß die Kleinen und Großen, die Reichen und Armen, die Freien und Knechte – allesamt – ein Malzeichen an ihre rechte Hand oder an ihre Stirn bekommen, und daß niemand kaufen oder verkaufen kann, er habe denn das Malzeichen …“
Damit verbindet die Offenbarung ein künstlich geschaffenes und sprechendes Abbild mit Verehrung, Autorität, Kontrolle und wirtschaftlicher Macht.
Die Parallele zur heutigen technologischen Entwicklung ist deshalb bemerkenswert: Was vor 2.000 Jahren wie eine kaum vorstellbare Vorstellung erscheinen musste – ein künstlich geschaffenes Abbild, das sprechen und mit Menschen interagieren kann – ist durch künstliche Intelligenz heute technisch möglich geworden.
