THE DAY I HAD PROBLEM WITH THE ARCHBISHOP BENSON IDAHOSA — Bishop Duncan Williams So one time I had problem with The Archbishop Benson Idahosa. Oral Roberts came to Ghana after a crusade and he wrote in one of his magazines that '' Action was for Idahosa '' and when I saw it, I wrote to Oral Roberts and said '' Action was not for Idahosa, it's for me '' So, he sent the letter to Idahosa and Idahosa sent for me to come and I refused to go. So he wrote me a letter and said '' Now that you have come of age, and you don't have respect for fathers anymore, I take all my coverings, my hands are off you now and may the Lord be with you '' When the letter got to me, I took it and tore it and threw it away. Pride was all over me then. I had Pride because of my success, my mega buildings and the things I thought I'd achieved. One month after that, National Security picked me up, I was under investigation for two years. The funny thing is that the guy who was incharge of the National Security said to me '' We've been instructed to pick you up for a very longtime, but everytime we want to Pick you, something beyond our control would stop us, but a month ago, it was like nothing stood our way, that's why we're here '' ... That was the beginning of my sorrows I sent people to plead and intercede on my behalf, but Archbishop didn't listen. But one day, I heard he was around and I came to meet him. As I saw him, I threw myself on the floor and said '' Have Mercy on Me, Father '' When he looked at me, he said '' Satan, this is between me and my son, stay out of it! '' he now said I should go back to my base. When I went back, I was praying and the Holy Ghost said to '' The National Security will come for you tomorrow by 8:30, resist them, don't go with them '' That was how I got released after a series of investigation, supervision, prayers and more prayers and I was free. That's why as you're seeing me now, I've learnt Humility by many things I passed through. I've learnt to be Humble. The longest distance is not from East to the west, the longest distance is from your heart to your mind. God uses your heart as a stand mark if he wants to land upon your life, and the devil is going to fight the agenda of God through doubt that comes from your mind, so whether or not, your sustaining the capacity to exercise faith sufficient to move mountains is determined by how you manage your heart and your mind. The world is a terrible place for people that decides to be righteous. You can lose promotions in your office because you decide to subscribe to the principles of righteousness, and you may think it is a setback, you may think that it is obstructing your possibilities and your prosperity, without knowing that your faith is being tested. The bible says that the just shall live by faith, and God knows that the society is terrible to people that are just, so he created faith as a way a just should live inorder to survive in an offensive and hostile world, that is a prescription of life for the just, and that is why you need to know it.
