Well, thanks to the wide swathe of crypto-assets supported by it and the backing of some well-funded players. Over the years, AAVE has expanded its capabilities and reach with the release of AAVE v2. For example, it added support for Polygon, a layer-two scaling solution, and Avalanche (AVAX), which is a popular cross-chain blockchain network. As a result of these added capabilities, the total liquidity available on the AAVE protocol surpassed $24 billion, making AAVE the top-ranked DeFi protocol by total value locked (TVL). 3rd iteration is ‘ON’ Aave Governance gained administration and maintenance over V1 and V2 of the Aave Protocol. Now, with the new year upon us and to maintain consistent growth of the ecosystem, here’s the project’s latest venture – Aave V3. Likewise, snapshot voting for deployment of Aave V3 was implemented recently, with the same being an effort to seek approval from the community. The AAVE community completed voting for deployment on the Ethereum L2 network Arbitrum One, with a 99.99% approval rate. The community supported the Aave Protocol’s expansion from the Ethereum mainnet to the Polygon and Avalanche networks as well. Indeed, the aforementioned pointers would help the ecosystem achieve the set goals ahead of V3’s deployment. “The design of V3 is poised to create the next generation Layer-0 DeFi protocol that can drastically improve user experience while offering increased capital efficiency, a higher degree of decentralization and further enhanced security.” Overall, different crypto-proponents/analysts have expressed their support for the flagship ecosystem ahead of this “much-anticipated” update. The host of popular crypto channel Coin Bureau, for instance, opined that the upgrade would increase interest in the project. “The most important upcoming milestone is the launch Aave V3, which will introduce multiple new features to the Aave protocol.” The analyst concluded with a price prediction for AAVE, “With a market cap of just $3 billion, this means that AAVE could be undervalued by a factor of five, and its fair valuation could be well over $1,000.” At the time of writing, AAVE was trading around the $226-mark after a 0.5% uptick in 24 hours. In order to push AAVE and help it break that wedge for good, AAVE V3 might turn out to be the perfect tool.

​​Solana, Tron, Stellar Price Analysis: 13 January With Bitcoin closing in above all its 4-hour EMA ribbons, altcoins like Solana, Tron, and Stellar fought the bears with all their might. Their near-term technicals depicted the increasing buying momentum as they reclaimed their lost support levels. Solana (SOL) The 5 January sell-off fueled SOL’s already existing bearish tendencies since late December as the alt saw a descending triangle (white) breakout. While the buyers failed to step in, the alt saw an over 23% retracement (from 5 January) until it poked its 15-week low on 10 January. The alt fell below its 61.8%, 78.6%, Fibonacci support and tested the $132-mark multiple times. The 16% rise over the past three days led SOL to cross all its EMA ribbons and test the 55-EMA (red) as its immediate support. As the gap between the ribbons lessened, the buying influence heightened. At press time, the alt traded at $151.9125. The RSI witnessed mounting gains after a bullish divergence with the price. Also, the DMI showed a bullish preference while the ADX was on a downtrend. Tron (TRX) The buyers failed to step in as TRX withdrew by nearly 20.82% (from 5 January) and poked its five-month low on 10 January. The king coins recovery made way for TRX to initiate an 11.7% descending broadening wedge (white) breakout. With this jump, the alt found a close above its 20-50 SMA. Now, the immediate resistance stood at the $0.06967-mark after the bulls reclaimed the $0.0669-level support. At press time, TRX traded at $0.06805. The RSI finally broke out midline hurdle and tested the 59-mark resistance twice over the last day. Although the DMI slightly skewed in favor of bulls, the Volume Oscillator rather suggested a weak bullish move. Stellar (XLM) Since the up-channel (white) breakdown on 3 December, XLM lost nearly one-third of its value but ensured the 24-week support at the $0.2464-level. Consequently, it rose in a rising wedge (white) to find test the $0.3022-mark resistance. Then, the broader sell-off invalidated the bullish cup and handle pattern as XLM withdrew in a down-channel (yellow). As a result, it touched its five-week low on 10 January. After again testing the $0.2464-mark, the alt broke out of the pattern after an over 21% ROI in just three days. Thus, also ensuring that the 61.8% support is intact. Now, the $0.2932-level would be a point where sellers will have to step in to prevent a sustained breakout. At press time, XLM traded above its 20-50-200 SMA at $0.28986. The RSI was near the overbought region and undeniably chose the bulls.

​​Apple Reportedly Has No Metaverse Plans For its Headset Technology giant Apple reportedly does not intend to follow Meta (formerly Facebook) and other tech companies in their metaverse push -- instead, the company's "mixed reality" headset will be focused on shorter periods of gaming, communication, and content consumption. “I’ve been told pretty directly that the idea of a completely virtual world where users can escape to — like they can in Meta Platforms/Facebook’s vision of the future — is off limits from Apple,” said in a newsletter Mark Gurman, a Bloomberg reporter who has a history of accurate reporting on Apple's product plans. He did not reveal his sources. Despite all the buzz surrounding the headset, Gurman is convinced it would not be suitable for metaverse usage as it is not designed for long periods of usage. Instead, the mixed AR/VR (augmented reality / virtual reality) headset would be intended for "bursts of gaming, communication, and content consumption.” “Here’s one word I’d be shocked to hear on stage when Apple announces its headset: metaverse," he said. Apple is said to be slated to unveil its headset by late 2022 or early 2023, according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. It is expected to be similar to Facebook's Oculus Quest VR headset. In February 2021, The Information detailed that the headset will be equipped with "more than a dozen cameras for tracking hand movements and showing video of the real world to people wearing it, along with ultra-high-resolution 8K displays and advanced technology for eye tracking." While details remain largely unclear, experts argue that the headset may run between USD 1,000 and USD 3,000. Arguably, "metaverse" has been tech’s buzzword for the last couple of months. While there are numerous definitions to this term, here is how Meta defines it, for instance: “The “metaverse” is a set of virtual spaces where you can create and explore with other people who aren’t in the same physical space as you.
