Netflix has been sued by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, alleging that Netflix illegally collects viewing habits, entertainment preferences, devices, household networks, app usage, and other behavior on adult and kids' profiles, and sells it to data brokers and advertising technology companies.
Netflix is also accused of using "dark patterns" to get people addicted, including autoplay.
Netflix’s endgame is simple and lucrative: get children and families glued to the screen, harvest their data while they are stuck there, and then monetize the data for a handsome profit.
