As an Iranian-American resident of the greater Seattle area, I found out about the unfortunate event being held by the highly respected Town Hall Seattle for Mr. Reza Aslan, who is an active advisor to the National Iranian American Council (NIAC) under scrutiny for lobbying for Islamic Republic and its interests. Indeed his recent book review at Stanford which was supposed to be held by the Stanford Iranian studies this week was just cancelled for the exact same reason as well as for his ongoing spreading of disinformation and misinformation regarding Iran events and whitewashing Islamic Republic’s crimes against humanity.
Specially at this sensitive time and environment when our sisters and brothers are brutally murdered by the Islamic Republic regime in the wake of Mahsa Amini’s killing, myself and other Iranian-American activists and residents of Washington state are requesting that the event be cancelled to avoid giving tribune to disinformation perpetrators.
