"Teachers"(mostly from Uzbekistan) on social media such often teach things that they are not sure about (but pretend that they know), give tips and strategies that they haven't tried in their real exams.
Exam materials they are sharing in their channels can be found online but they say "duo qilib qo'yasizlar" as if they are being so generous.
I'm not saying all teachers on social media are dishonest and hypocritical but most of them with a large following are actually good at art of deception, not teaching.
We should understand that it is us who make a difference by GENUINELY studying NOT FOLLOWING 100 channels on Telegram and Instagram.
The thing that caught my attention from the first article is that early humans might have run long distances until their prey were unable to run anymore. These hunters ran for a long time to catch their prey thanks to their endurance.
The second article says that a sense of rhythm is not only limited to humans but monkeys can also learn to tap along to a song. These animals are able to understand the beat and rhythm and react to them by tapping. This phenomenon, according to the article, could help us understand the long-standing and controversial theory of human evolution.

Exactly 11 years ago, we had a graduation ceremony at our school. We had studied for 9 years at school and were planning to study further 3 years at college.
As it is still the case, we were given a bunch of certificates and a speech by our "beloved" principal.
Some of the girls there cried and hugged each other, saying goodbye, while the boys stood indifferent to the situation.
Anyway, it was a lovely day.

I once wanted to change my job, but after giving it some thought, I came to the realization that teaching is what I'm passionate about. Of course, sometimes the workload reaches a point where I can't take it anymore, or some students in a new group behave in a way that really annoys me. It takes some getting used to, but it's not a big deal though. It all gets better after I establish boundaries. Although I don't allow my students to do whatever they want, I think classrooms shouldn't be a formal setting.
The writer of the article shares her views on how studies came to this conclusion and points out the limitations of the research methods used to find out people's experiences with the Internet.
She says studies concluded that having access to the Internet is linked with better well-being. I have no doubt the Internet does make people happier when it serves a useful purpose. For me, it enables me to do research and prepare for lessons, which is why I'm grateful to have Internet access in the first place. However, it also puts me in a trap of comparing myself with others when I see their curated and heavily edited "happy" moments.

Sometimes we reward ourselves too much.
It's called overindulgence.
You do something and you feel so happy that you want to give yourself a break. The break most of us want to have is to go online for only '5 minutes'.
That '5 minute break' is endless.

Most people take ChatGPT & other AI models for granted in almost all aspects of their language learning journey.

- Hey , Google can you please check my bank account and let me know which Apple product I can buy?
-Sure , Apple juice

We are not living in a world where students are taught with strict rules and tough punishment.
We need to encourage them to maximise their potential.

Seeing students achieve what they deserve gives a sense of satisfaction and gratitude.

For writing and speaking, prepare for topics you don't like. Your favourite topics make you feel more overconfident, which prevents you from learning something new and useful.

I'm not worried about the whole AI thing. What people are telling about it looks like a sci-fi movie.
At least, implications are way ahead of us.

Listening to music while studying & working may reduce your productivity.

We tend to go for something easier and fun on the Internet.
We avoid something that is mentally challenging.
We all know the latter benefits us most.

I just had a hunch that he wouldn't show up. To my surprise, he did come.
Could you explain what these highlighted phrases/words mean?(don't look up in a dictionary, though)

There is so much to learn to keep up with the world nowadays.
I sometimes wish I was born in a place where people live in tribes and never compete with each other.
