🔥JUST IN : FG MANDATES WAEC, NECO TO COMMENCE CBT EXAMINATIONS (DETAILS) The Federal Government has directed the West African Examinations Council and the National Examinations Council to adopt full Computer-Based Testing for all their examinations by 2026. The Minister of Education, Dr Tunji Alausa, disclosed this during the monitoring of the ongoing exams alongside JAMB officials, in Bwari on Monday The News Agency of Nigeria reports that more than 2 million candidates registered for the ongoing examination in more than 800 centres across the country Alausa revealed that both the WAEC and NECO would start administering their objective papers via CBT, effective this November. According to him, the full adoption of CBT for the essay and objective components would commence by May or June 2026. "If JAMB can successfully conduct CBT exams for more than 2.2 million candidates WAEC and NECO can do the same. "We are going to get WAEC and NECO to also start their objective exam on CBT. By 2026 exams which will come up in May/June, both the objectives and the essay will be fully on CBT. That is how we can eliminate exam malpractices. Alausa also disclosed that a committee is currently reviewing examination standards nationwide, with recommendations expectect next month. https://t.me/ALL_SCHOOLS_UPDATE Join our telegram channel for first hand updates

*☣️Understanding JAMB Cut-Off Marks: A Clear Guide for Jambites 🎓 Let’s simplify cut-off marks so you can stop worrying and focus on what matters! Here’s everything you need to know, organized with key points. 🧠 🌠 The 3 Types of Cut-Off Marks You MUST Understand 1. JAMB General Cut-Off Mark 📊 - The minimum score set by JAMB for all institutions. - Examples: - Universities: ~140–160 - Polytechnics: ~100–120 - Colleges of Education: ~100 - 🚨 If you don’t meet this, you’re out of the admission race. 2. School (Institutional) Cut-Off Mark 🏫 - Each school sets its own minimum, often higher than JAMB’s. - Example: UNILAG might require 200, while another school accepts 180. - 💡 Tip: Check your school’s official website or Google it to confirm their cut-off. 3. Departmental Cut-Off Mark 📚 - Specific to your chosen course, and varies even within the same school. - Example: Medicine might need 290 or 300+, Sociology could be 220. - Depends on: - Number of applicants - Applicants’ performance - Available admission slots 📝 How Schools Evaluate You: Post-UTME vs. O’Level Screening After meeting the JAMB cut-off, schools use one of these methods to assess you: 1. Post-UTME Screening Exam 📝 2. - A test to further evaluate your readiness. - Combined with your JAMB score for a final admission score. 2. O’Level Screening (WAEC/NECO) 📜 - Your O’Level results are graded and combined with your JAMB score. ⚠️ Important: Most schools use *only one* of these methods, not both. - Examples: - UNIZIK: JAMB (70%) + Screening O’Level (30%) - UNN: JAMB + Post-UTME sometimes UNN uses just screening (only O'level) 🔍 Not sure what your school uses? Check their official admission portal or wait for updates. Don’t stress! 🧠 Key Facts to Remember ✅ Meeting a cut-off doesn’t guarantee admission. It only qualifies you for consideration. ✅ Higher scores = Better chances, especially for competitive courses like Medicine. ✅ Cut-offs change yearly based on competition and performance. ✅ Missed the cut-off for your course? Consider switching to a less competitive course or reapplying next year. 📌 Quick Summary: What You Need to Know about jamb cutoff mark 👉 Jamb Cut-off marks are just the *starting point*, not the final decision. 👉 Your JAMB score, Post-UTME (or O’Level), and course competition all play a role. 👉 Stop overthinking cut-offs before Post-UTME. Focus on preparing instead! 💪 Pro Tip: Work hard, aim high, and share this with your friends to help them too! 🚀 *So I hope this clears things up for you students ? So make sure you ace those exams very important🧏🏻‍♂️
