Market doesn’t look good today and it doesn’t align with my plan, so I’m staying out.
I don’t trade Fridays either, so I’ll be back on Monday.
But I’ll look for a setup for you guys during NY and Friday London session if you like to trade.
This is a great chance to remind you:
You don’t need to trade every day to pass a challenge or make money.
Most traders fail because they force trades or chase the market and do not stick to their plan.
Patience is part of the plan. Stay disciplined.
Gold ended up closing below the zone I talked about earlier, and there was a chance to catch 2R to 4R or around 100–180 pips. I didn’t take it, I’ll wait and see if something better sets up tomorrow.
Red news in 3.5 hours, gold might just range till then.
If nothing clean shows up after, I’m done for the day.
No need to force it or chasethemarket. ✅
Gold has been consolidating on the 15min timeframe for the past 4 hours. If it breaks and closes below this zone, I’ll be looking to take a sell.

The new 4H candle flipped bullish, so I took a quick scalp on my phone and secured 66 pips, enough to recover today’s losses and finish with a 0.4% profit. That brings the total profit on the $5K account to 3.2%. Done for the day.

Today the market presented some great opportunities, but unfortunately, I didn’t stick to my plan on this 5k account and made three key mistakes:
1. I got greedy and forced a trade that wasn’t really there.
2. I assumed that Scenario 2 would play out , expecting gold to dip and grab liquidity, so I opened a sell position against the trend, driven by overconfidence.
3. I used full risk, even though I was going against the trend. Normally, I would only risk 0.5% on a weaker setup like that.
When gold shifted upward, the move happened too quickly. I did manage to catch the trade on two of my other accounts, but not on the 5k challenge account (missed 3% profits), and I wasn’t able to share a screenshot with you guys before entering, it moved quickly.

Quick update on the $5K challenge:
Closed this trade at breakeven, had a small pre-London scalp. Currently up 0.5% for the week and 3.25% overall.
