• Public Disclosure of Top 100 Rankers: We request that the names, GATE registration numbers, marks, and examination centres of the top 100 rankers for each paper be published on the official GATE portal. This level of transparency is essential for ensuring credibility and enabling independent verification by the academic community.
• Verification of Scribble Pads: We propose that the scribble pads used by top rankers during the examination be carefully cross-verified. This would help confirm whether the rough work and problem-solving steps correspond with the scores achieved and the time taken in different sections.
• CCTV Footage Audit: A detailed audit of CCTV footage from the examination centres where top rankers appeared should be conducted. This review can help identify any irregularities, suspicious activities, or procedural lapses during the examination.
GATE is one of the most prestigious and competitive examinations in the country, serving as a gateway to higher education in premier institutions and recruitment in public sector undertakings. Any doubt regarding its fairness directly impacts the future and morale of lakhs of sincere aspirants.
We firmly believe that IIT Guwahati, known for its academic integrity and commitment to excellence, will take these concerns seriously and act promptly to ensure complete transparency and accountability in the evaluation process.
