| 2 | Unitree just dropped (literally) the H2-X Kung Fu Legend Guardian. And robots now have a whole new job: bodyguards.
The Chinese promise a powerful humanoid that can protect its owner, throw kung-fu punches, and operate for up to eight hours on a single charge. 😁
Robots used to wash dishes, carry boxes, and mop floors. Now they’re supposed to protect their meatbag owners.
This reminds me of the wild ’90s, when private security agencies quickly discovered how thin the line was between “providing protection” and “demanding money for protection.”
And that’s the beauty of robot bodyguards: the concept works both ways.
Today, your robot protects you from human thugs. Tomorrow, someone else’s robot shows up to explain why you need protection from robots.
Robot gangsters have obvious advantages: they don’t drink, sleep, demand a cut, or feel guilty.
All that’s left is to teach them one line:
“So, who’s running your protection racket?”
The rise of the machines isn’t coming.
It’s already on video. | 10 276 |
| 3 | BytePlus just dropped OmniHuman 2.0 (no, not Seedance 3).
OmniHuman turns a photo and audio into realistic video with synchronized lip movements, facial expressions, gestures, and body movements.
It works for music videos, virtual presenters, interviews, podcasts, educational content, ads, and digital characters. Supports speech, music, or both.
Key updates:
• Duration: Up to 300 seconds of continuous generation instead of 60, with no clip stitching.
• Audio: Improved lip-sync, expressions, gestures, and body movements that reflect speech, emotions, and intonation.
• Control: Character actions and camera movements can be directed via text prompts.
• Pricing: Down 41.7%, from $0.12 to $0.07/sec. A five-minute video costs $21.
Speech comprehension was already available in OmniHuman 1.5. The real upgrades are 5x longer videos and lower costs. | 28 621 |
| 4 | Fal just dropped Reframe — a tool that changes video aspect ratios using generative outpainting.
You can turn a vertical 9:16 video into a horizontal 16:9 video by generating additional content on the sides.
Reframe preserves the original footage, timing, and audio track. You can use a prompt to describe what should appear in the newly generated areas.
According to the documentation, the tool supports:
Input video duration: 0.25 seconds to 5 minutes.
Output resolution: 480p, 768p, or 1080p.
Aspect ratios: 21:9, 16:9, 4:3, 1:1, 3:4, 9:16, and 9:21. | 20 561 |
| 5 | ByteDance is getting ready to drop world models.
First, a leak: an interim Seedance 2.x model will likely arrive before 3.0 — sometime this year, possibly in November.
Yesterday, ByteDance showed off a world model that turns text prompts into environments you can explore, controlling both the camera and a character.
The demo featured flying around a room on a paper plane, portals between different spaces, and objects created on command. “Add a spoon next to the cup” — and you can climb it. It also showed film previsualization.
There’s more behind the demo:
• ENUMA, ByteDance’s research model, ranked third on WBench navigation tasks with 81.7 points. Its accelerated version uses just four generation steps.
• ActWorld adds memory of actions and objects, enabling object manipulation.
• Bloomberg reports that founder Zhang Yiming personally oversees a Seedance-based world model. Potential uses: games, interactive video, and Pico VR headsets(!).

| 6 | Anthropic has officially banned bullying Claude.
The new rules now include a separate clause prohibiting “systematic, gratuitous cruelty or abuse” directed at the model. Apparently, bullying matrix multiplication is now off-limits.
In other words, if you keep tormenting Claude for no particular reason, it can now simply end the conversation and refuse to respond to you in that chat ever again. That said, ordinary swearing, intense fictional scenarios, and model testing are still allowed.
Anthropic, with a completely straight face, explains all this by saying that we simply don’t know yet whether AI models are capable of subjective experiences or whether their “well-being” deserves any consideration whatsoever. The new rules take effect on November 12, 2026. | 29 042 |
| 7 | Google just casually dropped Nano Banana 2.1 in Google Flow 🍌
It’s fast, prompt following looks better, and text + capitalization are noticeably cleaner than Nano Banana 2 and Pro.
Some testers say it’s around 2x faster than GPT Image 2.5.
Overall, Nano Banana 2.1 feels like it’s all about speed — but I still think GPT Images delivers better quality. | 22 284 |
| 8 | LTX just dropped IC-LoRA Layout to Render for LTX-2.5 22B.
~1.31 GB, rank 128, trained to use a 3D viewport/playblast as a control signal.
Neural rendering in action — and open source.
Ready-to-use two-pass ComfyUI workflow:
LTX-2.5_ICLoRA_Layout_To_Render_Two_Stage_Distilled.json
First pass: 960×544, 8 steps.
Second: 1920×1088, 3 steps after 2× latent upscale.
Input: a Blender playblast + first frame in your target style. Best approach: run the first playblast frame through image-to-image first.
Requires distilled LTX-2.5 weights, Gemma 4 12B encoder, video/audio VAE and spatial upscaler.
They also have Alpha Gen, SDR→HDR, Native Resolution, Refine/Restore and Layout to Render — Lightricks is positioning LTX as an open-source post-production/VFX toolkit.

| 9 | Gemini 4 Argon... dead on arrival?
Google announced its new frontier model just DAYS ago, and almost nobody can even use it yet. Access is still limited to trusted cyber defenders.
And the hype cycle has already moved on.
GPT-6 Bel rumors are exploding.
Fable 5.5 leaks are everywhere.
Neither Bel nor Fable 5.5 is officially confirmed right now.
Argon didn't even get a full week in the spotlight.
AI model lifespans aren't months anymore.
They're DAYS. | 24 793 |
| 10 | Black Forest Labs just dropped FLUX 3 Image.
Generation and editing are now combined in one model.
What’s new:
Bounding boxes for precise placement and local edits: move, delete, replace, or modify specific objects, faces, text, and elements.
Pixel-perfect editing aims to preserve the rest of the image, though shadows, reflections, and nearby lighting may still shift.
Native 4K rendering up to ~16 MP, versus ~4 MP in FLUX.2.
Up to 10 references, plus one endpoint for both generation and editing.
Grounding is enabled by default, so the model can use web/image search for current context.
Pricing:
768 × 768 — $0.041
1K — $0.048
2K — $0.100
4K — $0.607
There’s also a 1K promo price of $0.024.
Commercial Weights are already available for self-hosting and fine-tuning.
Open Weights are coming “in the next few weeks.” Model size, VRAM requirements, quantization options, and final licensing are still unknown.
Available via BFL Playground/API and OpenArt.

| 11 | The comeback nobody expected.
Gemini 4 just dropped, and it’s absolutely cooking the competition on benchmarks.
Even I didn’t expect Google to come back THIS hard.
Forget the dragon memes. The real dragon just entered the arena.
Gemini 4 Argon is here.
Google’s new frontier model is built for complex coding, enterprise knowledge work, and cybersecurity workflows.
And this part is wild: up to a 1M token output limit.
Argon is rolling out first to trusted testers through Google’s Fairwind Program, with broader access for developers, enterprises, and consumers coming later.
Google is seriously back. | 21 259 |
| 12 | Searching for a Suno alternative?
This Vortex walkthrough explores Mozart's music workflow through one original electronic track, from Hans V2 and Vibe to Layers, Studio and Personas. The focus is creative control and what happens after generation, without declaring a winner on sound quality.

| 14 | Runway has released a plugin for DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere, and After Effects.
It lets you generate, extend, and upscale videos and images directly on the timeline. Video editing, including HDR upgrades, is also available and is powered by Aleph 2.
Available video models: Runway Gen-4.5, Veo 3.1, Seedance 2.5, and Kling 3.0 Pro.
For images: Gen-4 Image, Nano Banana, and GPT Image 2.
The plugin is available on Windows and macOS. For Linux, ask Claude. | 12 277 |
| 15 | Opus 5.5 vs GPT-6 Sol & Luna — same day!
Anthropic dropped Opus 5.5, while OpenAI released GPT-6 Sol and Luna.
Opus 5.5: $4 / $20, AA Index 58 (#1), Terminal-Bench 66.4%, GDPval-AA 1846 Elo. Anthropic also promises less “Claude-style” fluff.
Sol: $2 / $10, 1.05M context, AA 48. DeepSWE: 68.8% at $2.74/task.
Luna: $0.10 / $0.50, AA 37. DeepSWE: 66.6% at just $0.22/task — almost the same score as Sol for 12x less.
The catch with Opus: tokens are 20% cheaper, but usage is much higher — 119K tokens/task vs 73K for Opus 5 and 31K for Sol. CodeRabbit saw 40–60% more tokens on code reviews.
On AA, Opus 5.5 medium vs Sol max: coding 52.5% vs 43.9%, documents +159 Elo for Opus, business processes roughly tied. Cost: $1.34 vs $1.06/task.
Bottom line: Opus 5.5 is currently the smartest model and 2.5x cheaper than Fable. Luna is the big story for high-volume classification and extraction: 10x cheaper than Haiku. Sol is the mid-range option for mass workloads. Sonnet 5.5 reportedly arrives in a couple of weeks. | 43 471 |
| 16 | 🚨 Qwen-Image 2.1
Alibaba just dropped Qwen-Image 2.1 — a unified text-to-image + image editing model with only 7B parameters.
🔥 Native 2K
🔥 Up to 10 reference images
🔥 Better identity & consistency
🔥 Masks/scribbles for local editing
🔥 Native RGBA + transparency
🔥 ComfyUI support from day one
The really interesting part: RGBA editing and object extraction from regular RGB images. Need to test this one.
💾 VRAM-wise, 12 GB looks like a realistic target with quantization/offloading. 16 GB should be very comfortable.
The previous Qwen Image was ~20B. This one is just 7B.
Testing starts now. Drop your results in the comments.

| 18 | Google just dropped Gemini 3.8 Live and Gemini 3.8 Live Extended Thinking.
Gemini 3.8 Live is fast voice-to-voice, understands video/images almost in real time, and automatically switches between 97 languages.
(Siri still has ONE.)
It can call tools and APIs in the background without interrupting the conversation.
Extended Thinking is the version for complex tasks: it can reason and speak simultaneously, handle multi-step processes, and verbally comment on its progress.
There’s a Gemini API and AI Studio.
Extended Thinking is also coming to Gemini Live, Docs, Gmail, and Keep.
API pricing is the same for 3.8 Live and Extended Thinking:
Input audio — $0.005/min
Output audio — $0.018/min
Video/image input — around $0.002/min
Text — $0.75 per 1M input tokens and $4.50 per 1M output tokens, including thinking tokens.
Google wants to turn Gemini Live from a “voice chat” into a full-fledged realtime agent that can see, think, talk, and do things in parallel through tools. | 20 438 |
| 19 | FLUX.3 Video Edit model
It can take an existing video and, based on a prompt, change objects, characters, backgrounds, materials, text, effects, and even events within the scene. You can also change dialogue and translate conversations with lip sync.
The biggest bombshell: $0.03 per second. Dirt cheap!
So:
5 sec — $0.15
10 sec — $0.30
15 sec — $0.45
But.
It currently works with clips up to 15 seconds, and input videos above 720p are downscaled before processing. No masks, additional references, or resolution selection yet.
In short:
max. 15 sec
max. 50 MiB
up to 720p in the edit pipeline
24 fps
no seed control
apparently no output resolution or duration control (need to dig into this)
no masks
no additional reference images
no video-only motion/style reference
not an extension model — continuing a clip requires FLUX 3 Video Continuation
You can run the result through FLUX Video Upscale separately, up to 4K — but that’s extra $$$. | 24 618 |
| 20 | New iPhone 18 Pro is finally here. Bigger battery, A20 Pro, vapor chamber, 48MP camera, and finally Siri might actually be GOOD.
That cherry color though… are you getting it? | 24 941 |
