I wonder how many tax dollars are going to the National Association of Pre Sort Mailers membership based on all those contracts for providing election ballot mailing services outsourced by our government? Yet another way to make money from elections…. https://napm.memberclicks.net/

Denver, thanks for making the mailed ballot signature curing process more convenient. I am all about making things as convenient as possible. Here is what happened to me. I returned my Mom’s, I mean my signed ballot in the mail. But, your automated voter signature verification software settings were set so TIGHT, that it rejected my (sorry my Mom’s) ballot as needing to be cured. I tried to sign my Mom’s name as well as I could but alas, her handwriting is sooooo much neater than mine. (As an aside, Denver, maybe you could just dial down the settings on your signature verification software next time, just saying, it would be more convenient for me). Anyway, my Mom got this convenient text message that allowed me, I mean her, to cure my, I mean her ballot with a few simple taps. Wow, very cool. We were both locked down for Covid anyway and could not have made it into the Clerks Office to fix it. Now that Covid is over, I suggest you just keep this convenience. I hope this new idea hatched by the Denver officials really spreads all over the country. https://denver.cbslocal.com/2020/10/07/colorado-txt2cure-program-ballot-signature-discrepancies/

And then there is Civic Design, wow, fantastic group, funded by CTCL. They are really focused on HELPING our elected officials design a better mail in ballot system, and all for FREE, just because they are good guys. Thanks for assigning me an encoded serial number on my outgoing and return ballot envelope. I enjoy being surveilled. It is not as if bad actors would correlate the information in the Voter Registration database to almost instantaneous status of my ballot. I mean, if I am a Republican, there is no way to predict who I might vote for President, right? https://civicdesign.org/

Ballot Scout and Democracy Works, Thank You, again!! Your administrative dashboard tells us all who has a UNDELIVERABLE or RETURNED ballots. It is all there online. What a great idea to promote voter fraud, I mean voter integrity. I am sure bad actors would never want to know how many ballots were returned as UNDELVERABLE in a precinct and know exactly when that happened. People just don’t think or behave that way. The law of unintended consequences does not apply here. Thanks for making it easier to cheat, I mean vote (sorry). I am all about convenience. https://www.democracy.works/ballot-scout

Thank you, again, Democracy Works for interjecting yourself into the sacred right to vote by providing our Government Officials and the USPS with the FREE web app service ELECTIONMAIL.ORG. So simple, so powerful, so corrupt. Just go to this web site and report your mailed ballot problem into a database maintained by Democracy Works and they will fire off an email directly to the USPS (and those SPONSORS) telling them of the problem that needs to be resolved. Don’t believe me? Here is the disclosure. Curious about where and how this information will be used? “Information you report here will be shared internally with the sponsors of this project, Democracy Works and the United States Postal Service.” Such a smooth way for Democracy Works to know how to grease the skids of the cheat next time. https://electionmail.org/

Democracy Works was kind enough to build the Ballot Scout app, the bar code technology that is applied to envelopes that permits my ballot to be tracked and my meta data to be distributed to ballot harvesters, I mean concerned citizen groups. Thanks Democracy Works for adding more convenience to my life. I was having trouble scheduling a time once every two years to go and vote in person. In all of your promotional materials, you may want to address the benefits of Phantom Voting and Ballot Harvesting your technology affords. https://vimeo.com/472668351/bfa22f3a53

How nice of the CTCL to tutor us all on how to track ballots. I am sure nothing nefarious could come of this, right? I mean what is the difference between tracking a book you ordered from Amazon versus tracking an entire precinct worth of ballots coming and going. It is all about convenience. Thanks CTCL. https://vimeo.com/393298623

Did you know that a serial number is encoded on your mail in envelope ballot uniquely identifying you and allowing the USPS or delegate through IV-MTR to track your ballot? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EYH_zvmwM4E

Thank you so much to the Patriots who came together to create this trailer for the USEIP canvassing report movie. We are blown away by the talent of Americans giving of their talents and working together to save the Republic. Did you know that every aspect of the full length movie was volunteered as well? No one has gotten paid a dime for any of this. We’ve never even raised funds. All we need is YOU. Bring your skills, talents and passions to help save our nation. Watch the full length movie at USEIP.org.

In using the MIT Election Data & Science Lab to look up some information, I decided to look into who is providing funding to MIT. Turns out, one of the top 3 is Democracy Fund. Who is Democracy Fund? They are a philanthropic organization founded by Pierre Omidyar from eBay (aka Big Tech). Look at the list of organizations this fund is distributing to starting on page 15. https://democracyfund.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/2020-DFI-Form-990-PF-revised-11-15-2021.pdf It includes $400,000 to the CTCL. I am speculating here that none of these organizations listed on the 990 presented an application for research funding titled: “How to Remove All Election Machines from Our Elections and Return to Low Tech Paper Solutions” So Big Tech makes gobs of money, they form the 501c’s to distribute funding to the organizations that promote more Big Tech/Big Data (like MIT, CTCL) and the cycle reinforces itself. https://electionlab.mit.edu/about

This is an actual quote from the USPS Mail Tracking and Reporting System. They state that you don’t necessarily need an account to access the data. Huh? So…. if I were a political operative hanging out in a hotel room in WI monitoring mail in ballot returns in the days leading up to the election, I could do so through the MTR anonymously? That sounds like a great idea USPS! “1.4.4 Do I Need an IV-MTR Account? An IV-MTR account allows you to request and view mail tracking and pass-through data. It also allows you to control who can see your data and to share your data with another organization or CRID. However, if you are only interested in sharing your data with another organization (such as an MSP), it may not be necessary to create an IV-MTR account. Contact the IV Solutions Center for more details.”

Do you want to know how mailed ballot tracking works? No problem, here is the on-line manual. It’s called the "USPS Informed Visibility Mail Tracking and Reporting System". Government officials know exactly each scanning point of every ballot in near real time sent out and returned. They know the address of voters who have not voted in the days leading up to an election. Imagine you want to cast a phantom ballot for someone. This would be a great data set to hack into. I didn’t provide our government with that surveillance right. I consider this an invasion of privacy. Did our state legislatures give the USPS authority to track us like this? https://postalpro.usps.com/InformedVisibility/MTRUserGuide

This is a new twist to the election machine security saga. Apparently hackers also target the organizations that are supposed to test the machines to ensure they can’t be hacked., like Kennesaw State University Center for Election Systems in GA. But wait, call me stupid, but if that organization can’t protect themselves from hackers, how much confidence can you have in their ability to test the machines to ensure that the machines can’t be hacked? https://bettergeorgia.org/2017/03/06/oops-another-massive-data-breach-of-ga-s-election-system/

Otero, New Mexico Audit Progresses Despite Federal Threats David and Erin Clements recently spoke to Nick Moseder (video here) about the excellent progress being made in a forensic audit of the 2020 election in rural and strongly-Republican Otero County, New Mexico. Last year, the audit team published a detailed 261-page report highlighting the many disturbing anomalies with voter rolls, mismatched ballot counts, machine vulnerabilities and other areas of concern. See the executive summary or read the full report. Since then, the grassroots team consisting of engineers, technical experts, legal experts and other willing volunteers were able to gain the legal means and permission of the county commissioners and clerk to audit the ballots, machines, and canvass the voters themselves. The county Sherriff and District Attorneys have also provided willing assistance and helped ensure the process is legal, well-grounded and will result in the necessary evidence for further action. Dr Shiva—MIT PhD and inventor of email—and his organization EchoMail is currently performing an analysis of ballot images and envelope signatures, while volunteer canvassers are surveying county residents to verify whether the election records match with how the voter says how they voted. The canvass is already discovering a large number of incorrect and non-existent addresses and voters (see the interim stats). The chairs of the federal US Congress Committee on Oversight and Reform sent a threatening letter to Dr Shiva and a copy to the US Attorney General—although when an official federal committee references The Daily Beast and other legacy propaganda outlets as the source of their concerns it reveals how little objective grounds they have for interfering. The committee’s letter is riddled with inaccuracies, slander, partisan bias, and projects onto the auditors that they are undermining democracy by doing a thorough investigation. A rebuttal of several of the points is available here. Threats have also been made that the electronic machines will be forcibly decertified if they are opened for forensic inspection—although many residents would gladly welcome that consequence, provided they are not replaced with new ones. The auditors believe that the county clerk has done her best to run the election correctly, but being forced to outsource management of the complex Dominion machines that involve 400 customizable settings opens their elections to manipulation. The audit is due to conclude within the next couple of weeks and we’ll be sure to share the results. Estonia votes through the Internet on their phones using QR codes. Turns out the tech geniuses thought this was a great idea. Enter some researchers from the US. One of the key findings: “Don’t post credentials to the election Wi-Fi network on the wall.” Really bad idea guys. “The procedures Estonia has in place to guard against attack and ensure transparency offer insufficient protection. Based on our tests, we conclude that a state-level attacker, sophisticated criminal, or dishonest insider could defeat both the technological and procedural controls in order to manipulate election outcomes. Short of this, there are abundant ways that such an attacker could disrupt the voting process or cast doubt on the legitimacy of results.” https://jhalderm.com/pub/papers/ivoting-ccs14.pdf
