आठ व्यक्ति अर्थात्-G, H, I, J, K, L, M, और N उत्तर की ओर मुख करके रैखिक में बैठे हैं। आसन्न व्यक्तियों के बीच की दूरी बाएं छोर से '9m' का क्रमागत समाकल गुणज है। आसन्न व्यक्तियों के बीच की दूरी न तो 10 मीटर से कम है और न ही '80 मीटर' से अधिक है। G, J के 45 मीटर बाएं बैठा है। M और G के बीच की दूरी H और K के बीच की दूरी से दोगुनी है। G, M के बाईं ओर नहीं बैठता है। दूरी J और N के बीच H और K के बीच की दूरी का तीन गुना है। H के बाईं ओर बैठे व्यक्तियों की संख्या I के दाईं ओर बैठे व्यक्तियों की संख्या के समान है। N के दायें से दूसरे स्थान पर बैठने वाला व्यक्ति L के ठीक दायें बैठा है। .
