How to build a Professional Personal Brand as a Nurse
Your personal brand is not your logo, colour palette or number of social media followers.
It is the professional reputation you build through your knowledge, skills, communication, work, values and interactions with others.
Two nurses may have the same qualification but be known for completely different things. One may become known for maternal health education, another for nursing leadership, another for mental health advocacy, while another may build a reputation around health technology or research.
Your qualification tells people what you are.
Your personal brand helps communicate what you are known for and the value you bring.

How to Avoid Remote Job Scams
Remote healthcare jobs are real.
So are the scams.
Before you apply or accept an offer:
1. Verify the company.
Check that the company has a legitimate website, LinkedIn presence and verifiable employees.
2. Find the job on the official careers page.
If you only find the vacancy through WhatsApp, Telegram or a random social media account, investigate further.
3. Never pay to get a job.
Registration fees, training fees, equipment deposits or “processing fees” are major red flags.
4. Be careful with unrealistic offers.
Very high pay for little experience, guaranteed employment or an offer without a proper interview should make you pause.
5. Check the email address.
A recruiter using a personal Gmail address or an email domain that doesn't match the company deserves extra scrutiny.
6. Don't share sensitive information too early.
Don't send passwords, banking details or identity documents before you've independently verified the employer and hiring process.
7. Trust the process, not the pressure.
Legitimate employers generally won't pressure you to make an immediate payment or decision.
Remember:
Remote doesn't mean risk-free. Verify before you apply. Verify again before you accept.
