#UnitedStates President Joe #Biden has approved a major disaster declaration for the ongoing wildfires around #LosAngeles and has “ordered Federal assistance to supplement response efforts in areas affected by wildfires, ensuring impacted communities and survivors have immediate access to funds and resources to begin their recovery.”
Fire crews are currently fighting several blazes:
- Palisades Fire: 15,832 acres burned (0% contained)
- Eaton Fire: 10,600 acres burned (0% contained)
- Hurst Fire: 850 acres burned (0% contained)
- Woodley Fire: 30 acres burned (100% contained)
- Sunset Fire: 50 acres burned (0% contained)
The Palisades wildfire has already destroyed over 1,000 structures, marking the most destructive wildfire in Los Angeles history.
At least 5 fatalities have been confirmed and a high number of additional casualties have been reported by fire officials.

- Stated during a press conference today that the #UnitedStates needs Greenland for “national security purposes” for the “free world”
- Denmark should “give it up,” threatens tariffs at a “very high level”
- Talks about Russian and Chinese vessels operating in the region, further saying “we’re not letting that happen”
- Would not rule out military or economic coercion
- Said last month that “ownership and control of [the Danish territory] is an absolute necessity”
Greenland response:
- Prime Minister Mute Egede told Reuters that “Greenland is ours. We are not for sale and will never be for sale. We must not lose our long struggle for freedom.”
- Siumut party leader Erik Jensen told reporters that “Greenland is not for sale and never will be.”
- Egede has signaled, however, a potential push for complete independence, further adding that “Our cooperation with other countries, and our trade relations, cannot continue to take place solely through Denmark.”
#Denmark response:
- Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen has stated “Greenland belongs to the Greenlanders” and that the territory is not for sale, but welcomes increased #American investment as the US is “absolutely our closest ally.”

| 3 |  UPDATE: Authorities have reported that Master Sgt. Matthew Livelsberger suffered an apparent self inflicted gunshot wound to the head before his rented #Tesla #Cybertruck exploded outside of the #Trump hotel in #LasVegas, in what authorities continue to describe as an intentional act. @TheWarBlog
Additionally, the #UnitedStates #Army has confirmed that Livelsberger was on active duty and approved leave from Special Operations Command (USASOC) in #Germany at the time of the blast.
A motive still remains unknown, but authorities have stated that this was an isolated incident and there is no connection between this and the attack in #NewOrleans. The blast, however, is still being investigated as a potential act of terrorism.
Livelsberger was the only fatality and the blast lightly wounded seven others. Las Vegas Metropolitan #Police noted that “The fact that this was a Cybertruck really limited the damage that occurred inside of the valet, because it had most of the blast go up through the truck and out.”
Livelsberger enlisted as an 18X (Special Forces Candidate) in 2006 and served as a Green Beret in 10th SFG. Over the next two decades, he deployed to the Republic of #Congo in 2014, #Ukraine in 2016, #Tajikistan in 2016 and #Afghanistan in 2017, 2018 and 2019, having been awarded the Bronze Star with valor.

| 4 |  The #FBI is now reporting that #NewOrleans terror suspect Shamsud Din Jabbar acted alone in his #ISIS-inspired truck ramming attack against Bourbon street, which left 15 dead and wounded dozens of others.
In videos posted online by Jabbar before the attack, he explained how he planned on killing his family following a divorce from his wife, but then decided to “join” ISIS before the summer and carry out an attack against the public in a “war against believers and nonbelievers.”
Likewise, FBI Deputy Assistant Director Christopher Raia reported that Jabbar acted alone in planting explosive devices in the French Quarter upon review of security camera footage. Initially, the FBI believed that potentially four other people were involved, however, they have determined to be uninvolved pedestrians.
Additionally, the FBI stated that there is “no definitive link” between this attack and the detonation of a Cybertruck outside of the #Trump hotel in #LasVegas."

Warning Graphic: Above are sections of helmet camera footage from the point of view of a #Ukrainian soldier, showing him locked in hand to hand combat with a #Yakhut #Russian soldier as they struggle over a knife.
The Ukrainian soldier ultimately loses the fight and is mortally wounded, asking the Russian soldier to “let me die in peace” and that “I want to go on my own.”
The Ukrainian then tells the Russian “You were the best fighter in the world, better than me” before presumably ending his own life with a grenade as the Russian walks away.

Attack begins (03:17:06 ): A white Ford F-150 Lightning EV turned right onto Bourbon Street from Canal Street, driving around/ over barricades that were set up. (GEO: 29.9539767, -90.0698106)
The vehicle then drove northeast down Bourbon Street at a high rate of speed:

NOTE: Previously geolocated footage shows large amount of casualties along block of Video 3, area highlighted on map in red.

- At approximately 0315 local time, a white Ford F-150 Lightning EV turned right onto Bourbon Street from Canal Street, driving around/ over barricades that were set up. (GEO: 29.9539767, -90.0698106)
NOTE: Vehicle was rented from the car sharing app Turo and obtained in #Texas
- The vehicle then drove northeast down Bourbon Street at a high rate of speed, hitting pedestrians along the way.
- Large cluster of casualties (~7x) observed outside of Big Easy Daiquiris (Green shaded area). (GEO: 29.9550586, -90.0688479)
- Vehicle crashes into boom lift located outside of the Prohibition bar. (GEO: 29.9560445, -90.0679705)
NOTE: The I$!$ flag flown at the back of vehicle was furled the entire time of the attack
- The suspect, identified as Shamsud Din Jabbar, then begins to shoot at responding police officers and is killed by return fire; two officers are wounded
NOTE: Jabbar was armed with a Glock handgun and .308 Winchester Rifle that were reported stolen out of #NewJersey
- Authorities now report that the attack has left at least 15 dead and another 35 wounded.

- Identified as 42 year old Shamsud Din Jabbar
- #American citizen; born and raised in #Texas
- Work history of IT specialist with US #Army Reserves and Deloitte, as well as owning a real estate company
- Criminal history of theft and driving with a suspended license
- Used Ford F-150 Lightning EV rented from the car sharing app Turo to carry out the attack; vehicle obtained in Texas
- Was armed with a Glock handgun and .308 Winchester Rifle that were reported stolen out of #NewJersey
- Was flying I$!$ flag during the attack
- Appeared to be wearing camouflage and body armor during the attack
- Explosive devices recovered from the vehicle
- Was killed in a shootout with police after crashing his vehicle into a boom lift
Authorities are still trying to determine if Jabbar had acted alone.

After much consideration and heavy thought, I have personally decided to depart from Atlas News (the company) due to differences in opinion of where the company is headed, content direction, and the company’s plans for the future.
With that, I will no longer have any affiliation with any of the Atlas pages, websites, or the app, however, I will continue my reporting through The War Blog and will be continuing to focus on conflicts and geopolitics.
I want to thank all of you for nearly a decades worth of support, as well as those who invested in the growth of the company and company itself. I also want to thank all of the pages and writers that I have had the absolute pleasure working alongside with over the past few years.

Iran has the capability to conduct precise strikes, meaning they can hit a base, but purposely not hit anything that would cause escalation. This could be same case, but we will have to wait and see.
The way I saw April was like this:
- Israel kills IRGC leadership
- Iran responds with missile
and drone attack that essentially had zero impact against Israeli operational capabilities. The attack was a grand show and could be presented as a successful retaliatory attack.
- Israel responds by striking ADA systems in Iran, which did not have any impact on Iran military capabilities. For Israel, this could be presented as a successful response to Iran’s attack. Iran swept it under the rug as if nothing happened, thus preventing near term escalation.
