Shaykh Ahmad Mūsā Jibrīl حفظه الله said:
“Closing the Shaytānic window opens a gate of Īmānic sweetness, and it opens gates of knowledge and Ma’rifah of Allāh سبحانه وتعالى and Firāsah (insight). Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله تعالى said, “Lowering the gaze is means to attaining the provision of knowledge.” Pay attention to this advice, because it’s coming from one of the all-time Imāms of this Dīn. He said lowering the gaze is a means for one to attain the Ni’mah of knowledge. There’s an avenue between the eyes and the heart. If the heart is corrupted, the sight is corrupted, and if the sight is corrupted, the heart is corrupted, and the opposite is true as well. When one controls his eyes from looking at Harām, Allāh grants him a pure heart with pure insight. Their insight, their Basīrah, will be the likeness of one who physically looks with his physical eyes through clean, clear eyeglasses. Looking at Harām to the heart is like breathing on those glasses. What happens to the glasses when you breathe on them? It fogs and clouds one’s vision. The same happens to the heart when one looks at Harām. When the Imams were victorious over themselves in such matters, Allāh سبحانه وتعالى granted their work inextinguishable Nūr and acceptance, even when the world may have collaborated against their work. The lesson from that is that when one lowers his gaze from that which Allāh سبحانه وتعالى has forbidden for Allāh’s sake, rest assured, Allāh سبحانه وتعالى will not let it go in vain. He will compensate him with something similar in nature but better.”

I often find myself remembering the special Shuyūkh whom I loved for the sake of Allah, never letting a single day pass without making duʿāʾ for them repeatedly throughout the day. Foremost among those I mention after my parents is ḥabīb al-qalb, al-Shaykh al-Imām Nāṣir al-Fahd — فكَّ اللهُ بالعزِّ أسره.
I reminisce about the days of daʿwah we spent together, recalling the statement of Imām Aḥmad — may Allah have mercy on him — “إذا مات أصدقاء الرجل ذلّ” — “When a man’s friends die, he becomes humbled.” At times, I find myself extending its meaning in my heart: when a man’s friends die or are imprisoned, he becomes humbled.
Over the years, I often longed to read those letters again, though I had assumed they had all been confiscated during repeated raids in which digital devices, papers, and entire collections of belongings were seized. In many of those raids, they would even leaf through every book in my library, leaving the shelves emptied and the volumes scattered across the floor.
Weeks ago, however, I was overwhelmed with joy to discover that I had once printed one of his letters and used it as a bookmark in a notebook.
The Shaykh — فكَّ اللهُ بالعزِّ أسره — went out of his way to send me several letters from prison, written with ink made from a mixture of coffee and water, and a straw used as a pen. The first of those letters was the one attached here, sent after he learned of my release from prison. It contained words of encouragement and support the like of which, at that time, I had heard from no one outside my own family. For that alone, apart from his many other favors, I don't believe I could ever make enough duʿāʾ for him.
Having no close companion besides my father — may Allah grant him a long life filled with righteous deeds — I often find comfort in the companionship of Shaykh Nāṣir — فكَّ اللهُ بالعزِّ أسره — by returning to his books during quiet moments. I keep them within arm’s reach wherever I sit; they bring solace to my heart, and I never tire of reading them.
Rediscovering this letter brought even greater comfort, especially at a time like this.
May Allah keep him and his brothers steadfast upon the ḥaqq, hasten their release with honour, and grant us the joy of seeing them as imams leading this ummah sooner rather than later.
May Allah humiliate those who imprisoned them and those who rejoice in their imprisonment and oppression, and reunite us with them in al-Firdaws.

✍️**A Letter from Shaykh Nāṣir —
From Nasser bin Hamad Al-Fahd to the two noble brothers and virtuous Shaykhs, Musa bin Jibril and his son Ahmad, may Allah protect them from every evil and grant them success in every good. Amin.
Salāmun ʿalaykum wa raḥmatullāhi wa barakātuh. To proceed:
Indeed, I praise Allah to you, the One besides whom there is no deity, and I ask Him, Glorified be He, that this letter reaches you while you are in goodness and well-being. News of you reached me through (******) — may Allah grant him success — and I was pleased with the state you are now upon [i.e., the da‘wah you are engaged in], and praise belongs to Allah.
Whatever has befallen you of trials is the path of the prophets and the righteous reformers.
I ask Allah, Glorified be He, to make what has afflicted you an elevation in your ranks and an expiation for your sins, and to make us and you steadfast upon the firm word in this worldly life and the Hereafter.
And I give you glad tidings that we, along with all the brothers in the prisons, are in a tremendous blessing that reminds us of the statement of Shaykh al-Islam — may Allah have mercy on him — during his final imprisonment in the Citadel: “If I were given the equivalent of this Citadel filled with gold, it would not equal for me the gratitude I owe for this blessing.”
Convey my greetings to all the brothers with you, and may Allah preserve you.
Peace be upon you, and the mercy and blessings of Allah.

Interesting fact regarding the Shaykh from the previous quote,
4 807
“The veil (Niqāb) was commanded so that men would handle the affairs outside of the home entirely, but what is happening here today? The women are undertaking these tasks instead! We’ve seen that their men are often with them, but the women are doing the buying (and dealing with the shopkeepers)! Is it in accordance with Islāmic teachings that the women should go out to the Bazārs dressed, adorned, and perfumed with no veil? Rather, the teachings of Islām tell us that the man who takes his women outside of the house without the veil is a Dayūth. Pay attention, O men who take their women out unveiled! How many calamities result from the roaming about of unveiled women! Then, when some devil gets the chance (to dishonor your women physically or verbally) you say “So-and-so has destroyed my honor! What an evil man he is!” The real question is “Who gave him the opportunity to lift a hand on your honor?” She has relatives, she has elders — why didn’t they keep her veiled? Why did he take her to the Bazārs and recreational areas unveiled? He gave him (the one who dishonored his women) access himself when he took them out to the recreation centers, cinemas, or Bazārs unveiled, yet still he says that nobody should look at them with filthy intentions — how is that even possible?!”

And Allāh wants to show you that at least part of the fruit, you are rewarded. Also, it’s telling you that the Shaykh‘s teaching and message are the correct way by Allāh and His Messenger ﷺ.”
By Allāh, I would indeed be fortunate and ecstatic to know for sure that even one of my tweets or projects was accepted by Allāh and pleasing to Him, let alone anything more than that! I only ask Allāh for acceptance and I hope for His reward, not because I view anything I’ve done as deserving of it, but because I have confidence in His Vast Mercy. May Allāh سبحانه وتعالى reward Shaykh Mūsā and Shaykh Ahmad and accept their struggle and sacrifice in His cause, and their efforts to convey the pure Manhaj to us despite censorship, persecution, and oppression. I hope that this dream can inspire even one person to become stubbornly committed to spreading Da’wah to the Haqq, despite the obstacles they’re promised to face.”

On the topic of how Da’wah to the correct Manhaj is extremely censored online, facing a lot of resistance and restrictions from major platforms (like suspension of accounts, etc), someone spoke some beautiful, beneficial words that can serve as a reminder to us all إن شاء الله:
“Just because Da’wah online is temporary and always gets deleted, we should not forget that Allāh has each and every little post recorded and rewarded for you — if your intentions were truly for Him alone.
Your accounts will be forgotten, people may no longer see your pages as relevant or important, but to Allāh, it was very important, because of the strength of your pure intentions.
I ask Allah to make us all sincere in everything we do and say and post. May He accept every tiny word, and may we act upon every thing we spread. And may He forgive us for the many shortcomings in our intentions and sincerity.”
Their words reminded me of a dream someone else I knew had, from some time ago. I obtained permission to share it solely to inspire others to take part in Da’wah and to not become disheartened at the pushback one will face from those who aim to erase the Da’wah and wipe it out. This person had spent the better part of their youth losing their social media platforms to censorship, constantly creating new accounts for Da’wah. While they were hopeful of Allāh’s reward, they couldn’t help but feel annoyed at having to start over from scratch tens of times. One day, they saw the following dream:
“I was in a mansion with a bunch of rowdy kids, in order to get away from them I wander off into the mansion. I came upon a room with bunch of computers (like a computer lab) and there was a lone woman sitting at a desk with head phones, typing away. She glances at me as I'm observing the room, and without a word, points her thumb to the room behind her, motioning me to go there. I turn in the direction she gestured towards and see two glass doors half slid open revealing a room with some greenery inside. As I enter, I see it's a room full of trees with beautiful fresh leaves (as if it’s late spring/early summer). There were around 7 trees, short to fit in the room, bushy and full with rustling leaves, illuminated by the soft glow of golden sunlight filtering through the large windows. I marveled at how beautiful and intriguing it was that there was a room with trees growing indoors, and somehow, a slight breeze ruffling through the leaves while there were no open doors or windows. I flipped over one leaf on a tree and was surprised to find "Shaykh Ahmad Jibrīl" written on it. I was puzzled, and when my confusion was noticed, I was told by someone unknown behind me that all these leaves represent tweets or original Da’wah works of the Shaykh (حفظه الله) that I had made/spread online. The first thought I had as I stepped back and looked at all the trees and leaves was slight astonishment at just how much I tweet, judging from the abundance of leaves in the room. I always had felt slight embarrassment that I was perhaps, too active on my Da’wah pages.
I walked to another tree and flipped a leaf and saw a tweet I recognized from an old account of mines that Twitter had suspended. As I gazed at the trees, the breeze ruffled some leaves and as they flipped, I caught glimpses here and there of some tweets and Da’wah work I had done that I recognized written on them, many of which I had forgotten of until that moment. Most of them were either quotes of Shaykh Ahmad’s or tweets I made about him and spreading his works. Then I woke up.
I sent the dream to Shaykh Mūsā Jibrīl حفظه الله for interpretation many months later, and his response was lengthier than what I’ll share, and I ask Allāh سبحانه وتعالى to make it true. The part that stands out for our purpose was that he said that the dream was a glad tidings, indicative of many good things insha’Allāh, and he ended it saying, “All of this, because of actions and activities that are spreading and promoting the message of Allāh with sincerity, and accordingly to Shaykh Ahmad.

O Allah, I ask You of Your mercy, that You guide by it my heart, and gather by it my affair, and bring together that which has been scattered of my affairs, and correct with it that which is hidden from me, and raise by it that which is apparent from me, and purify by it my actions, and inspire me by it with that which contains my guidance, and protect me by it from that which I seek protection, and protect me by it from every evil.
O Allah give me faith and certainty after which there is no disbelief, and mercy, by which I may attain the high level of Your generosity in the world and the Hereafter.
O Allah, I ask You for success [in that which You grant, and relief] in the Judgment, and the positions of the martyrs, and the provision of the successful, and aid against the enemies.
O Allah, I leave to You my need, and my actions are weak, I am in need of Your mercy, so I ask You, O Decider of the affairs, and O Healer of the chests, as You separate between the seas, separate me from the punishment of the blazing flame, and from seeking destruction, and from the trial of the graves.
O Allah, whatever my opinion has fallen short of, and my intention has not reached it, and my request has not encompassed it, of good that You have promised to anyone from Your creation, or any good You are going to give to any of Your slaves, then indeed, I seek it from You and I ask You for it, by Your mercy, O Lord of the Worlds.
O Allah, Possessor of the strong rope, and the guided affair, I ask You for security on the Day of the Threat, and Paradise on the Day of Immortality along with the witnesses, brought-close, who bow and prostrate, who fulfill the covenants, You are Merciful, Loving, and indeed, You do what You wish.
O Allah, make us guided guiders and not misguided misguiders, an ally to Your friends, an enemy to Your enemies. We love due to Your love, those who love You, and hate, due to Your enmity those who oppose You.
O Allah, this is the supplication (that we are capable of), and it is upon You to respond, and this is the effort (that we are capable of), and upon You is the reliance.
