| 6 |  Three French-Algerians linked to humanitarian associations have been charged with financing a terrorist organization after investigators revealed that millions of dollars collected under the banner of humanitarian aid for Gaza were diverted to Hamas.
Brothers Faouzi Barika, 35, and Nordine Barika are among those charged. Faouzi co-founded Baraka, a humanitarian association established in 2023 and based in Saint-André-de-Cubzac, near Bordeaux, which describes itself as providing humanitarian aid to civilians in Gaza.
Amel Oualid, 39, president of the Saint-Étienne-based association Ensemble C Mieux, was also charged in Paris. U.S. authorities say she helped collect more than $2 million that ultimately benefited Hamas.
The cases followed information supplied by U.S. authorities to France.
