Rooting for seniors to grow and give back ❤️
Sprouts Network is a project under Youth Corps Singapore that aims to promote greener practices within the community, increase meaningful interaction between youths and seniors, and promote seniors' emotional health through gardening and therapeutic horticulture.
As a Volunteer Befriender (VB),
🟢 Befriend seniors and engage with them throughout the programme
🟢 Ensure the safety and well-being of the seniors

| 16 | *✨Be a Thrive Together Volunteer Mentor✨*
Fei Yue FSC (Choa Chu Kang) is organising a community work programme to foster emotional resilience among children aged 10-12 years old and their parents.
& we are looking for *VOLUNTEERS MENTORS* 🫵
*Key Responsibilities:*
- Work with fellow mentors in group of 2-3 with 3-4 children per group
- Build positive and trusting relationships with children through regular engagement
- Foster a safe and inclusive environment where children feel valued and heard
If you have the capacity, you may even take up *additional roles* such as:
1. Planner:
- Plan 2 outings and 1 family outings for children and parents
2. Photo-& Videographer:
- Capture the moments of the children's and parents' experience in the programme
3. Evaluator:
- Support in data analysis and programme evaluation to provide fresh insights for future programming planning purposes
*Commitment Required (End May - September):*
- Attend 1 Volunteer interview on either 11/17 April or 5./9 May*
- Attend 1 volunteer training on 23 May, 2-5pm
- Key engagement period with children and parents will be from June to September
*you will need to sign up at least 3 days before your desired date of interview to allow sufficient scheduling time
