https://www.goodcrowd.org/gazan-genocide-survivors-need-more-than-sympathy +++SUPPORT NEEDED+++PLEASE SPREAD+++ We urgently call for your solidarity with a Palestinian family of six in Berlin. Having survived the ongoing genocide in Gaza, catastrophic loss, and forced displacement, they are now facing a new frontier of state violence. Let’s be clear: 'universal human rights' are a very selective privilege in Germany. The dangerous illusion of the German welfare state is shattered the moment undocumented and most marginalized bodies require medical attention. For undocumented people or people at risk of expulsion, entering a hospital means navigating a double trap: face the realistic threat of deportation or drown in insurmountable debt. Even when it is a matter of life and death. For this family, seeking state-vetted medical care meant gambling with a huge risk of expulsion. But when three of the family’s young children required urgent, life-saving emergency intervention, survival could not wait for bureaucratic mercy. Comrades from our community had to mobilize thousands of euros overnight to secure the treatment and bypass the state's deportation trap. Now, this emergency debt – in total a sum of 12,000 € - is critically overdue. This is not a plea for charity. We see this as an act of material resistance against deeply racist, exclusionary structures that dictate which lives are worthy of protection. When the state actively enforces structural racist violence, collective care is our only defense. De-center charity. Practice solidarity. You can donate on the link above.
