Ambulatory Stage C2D Heart Failure:
☑️ Definitions
☑️ and Current Therapeutic Approaches
✔️DEFINITION OF STAGE C2D:
🔴 Stage C2D HF comprises ambulatory patients who experience severe symptoms that are👉 frequent or
👉persistent and interfere👉👉 with daily life.
🚨 We propose that stage C2D HF is defined by the presence of 3 core features:
1⃣ First, routine daily life is consistently limited by NYHA functional class III
👉or ambulatory NYHA functional class IV symptoms despite attempts to use stage C GDMTs.
2⃣ Second
patients remain ambulatory at home without intravenous inotropic therapy.
🚼 Although C2D patients often require periodic hospitalizations for worsening HF, they are able to resume their lives at home once treated.
3⃣ Finally👉 as a unique core featureof C2D, functional capacity is a key metric to quantify and track.
