*Jammu and Kashmir: JKBOSE Restores October–November Exam Session* JK Tweet Edu Desk SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has officially restored the earlier academic calendar for the Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, effective from the current academic year (2025). According to an official notification, the previous calendar has been reinstated in line with government orders. The academic session for the Kashmir Division, winter zone areas of Jammu Division, and the Union Territory of Ladakh will now be counted as 2024–25. The Annual Regular Examinations for Classes 9 to 12 in these regions will be held in October–November 2025. For the Jammu Division (Summer Zone), the academic session will be counted as 2025–26, with Annual Regular Examinations for Classes 9 to 12 scheduled in March–April 2026. *Power Shutdown* Srinagar May 20:According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, in order to carry out urgent repair works on 33 KV Safakadal line necessitated damages caused due to the heavy wind storm during the intervening night of 18th and 19th, 2025, shutdown of 33KV Safakadal line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Safakadal & Wanganpora shall remain off while power supply to Safakadal, Wanganpora, Saidpora, Noorbagh, Chaidoab, Baghwanpora, Eidgah and adjoining areas besides BB Cant Tap Line will be affected from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM on 21 May, 2025. *All Educational Institutions in Jammu Division to Remain Closed Tomorrow Except Medical Colleges: Div Com Jammu* Jammu, May 12: In view of the prevailing situation, the Divisional Commissioner Jammu on Monday announced that all educational institutions, including private and government schools and colleges, will remain closed across the Jammu division on May 13, excluding medical colleges. Divisional Commissioner Jammu, said, “All Schools, Colleges & educational institutions (private as well as Government) in the Jammu province except the Medical colleges shall remain closed tomorrow on 13th May in view of the prevailing situation.” The administration has advised students and parents to stay updated through official channels for further notifications.

As per an official notice issued by the Dean Academic Affairs at NIT Srinagar, "The following decisions taken in the meeting of the Dean Academic Affairs, Dean Students Welfare and Registrar, with the Director (i/c) are notified for the information of all the students (UG & PG) that "Online classes shall continue till 6th June 2025." "Hostels shall open from 9th June 2025 and Classes in physical mode shall start from 11th June 2025," reads the notice. This is issued with the approval of the Competent Authority."

*Kashmir University Postpones All Exams Till May 14* Srinagar, May 11: The University of Kashmir has postponed all examinations scheduled up to and including May 14. In an official notification issued by Assistant Controller of Examinations, All University examinations scheduled to be held upto and including 14.05.2025 stand postponed. Fresh date for the conduct of postponed papers shall be notified separately, reads the notice. Controller examination at KU Dr Majid Zaman also confirmed to JKNS regarding postponement examinations upto 14th May.
