AL-WALĪD IBN 'ABD AL-MALIK IS THE ONE WHO INCORPORATED THE PROPHET'S BURIAL CHAMBER INTO THE MOSQUE
Ibn Taymiyah (may ALLĀH have mercy on him) said, explaining that the Salaf did not seek help by means of the Prophet's grave:
"What may confirm this is the fact that when 'Ā'ishah (may ALLĀH be pleased with her) was still alive, the house did not have a small window; rather it was open to the sky and the sun would shine down into it, as it is proven in as-Sahīhayn from 'Ā'ishah that the Prophet (ﷺ) used to pray 'Asr when the sun was in her apartment and the shadow had not yet appeared in her apartment.
The apartment remained like that until al-Walīd ibn 'Abd al-Malik added to the Mosque during his caliphate, when he incorporated the apartment into the Mosque of the Prophet; his governor in Madinah was his paternal cousin, 'Umar ibn 'Abd al-'Azīz. The apartments of the Prophet's wives were to the east of the mosque, towards the qiblah side (the south). al-Walīd instructed 'Umar ibn 'Abd al-'Azīz to buy the apartments from their owners, the heirs of the wives of the Prophet. So they were bought and incorporated into the mosque on the qiblah side of the mosque and on its eastern side. From that time the Prophet's burial chamber was incorporated into the mosque; before that it was outside the mosque, during the lifetime of the Prophet (ﷺ) and after his death. Then he built a high wall around the apartment of 'Ā'ishah (may ALLĀH be pleased with her), in which the grave was, and after that a small window was made in it, through which they could lower down whatever was needed to sweep and clean the chamber."

ALLĀH'S GUARANTEE OF PROVISION FOR ALL CREATURES
ALLĀH says:
لَا نَسْأَلُكَ رِزْقًا نَّحْنُ نَرْزُقُكَ
WE do not ask you for provision; WE provide for you
That is, your provision is due from US and WE guarantee it, just as WE guarantee the provision of all creatures, so how about one who complies with OUR commands and focuses on remembering US? The provision of ALLĀH is guaranteed to all, both those who fear HIM and others, so we should focus our attention on that which will bring eternal happiness, which is piety or fear of ALLĀH.
{Tafsir As-Sa'di}
Abu Umamah reported: The Messenger of ALLĀH (ﷺ) said: "Verily, the Holy Spirit inspired in my mind that a soul will never die until it finishes its term and consumes its provision. Thus, be graceful in seeking provision, and let not one of you allow the delay of provision to compel him to seek it by disobedience. Verily, ALLĀH does not grant what is with HIM but by obedience to HIM." {Ḥilyat al-Awliyā #14924}

BEIGN PLEASED WITH ALLĀH'S DECREE AS IT UNFOLDS
It is authentically reported on the authority of Abu Hurairah (may ALLĀH be pleased with) that the Messenger of ALLĀH (ﷺ) said: "Seek what benefits you, and seek help only from ALLĀH and do not lose heart. If any adversity comes to you, do not say: "If I had only acted in such-and-such a way, it would have been such-and-such;" but instead, say:
قَدَرُ اللّٰهِ، وَمَا شَاءَ فَعَلَ
(It is the Decree of ALLĀH and He does whatever HE wills.)
for verily, ˹the word˺ "if" opens the way for the work of Satan."
{Sunan Ibn Majah #79}
Because Islam calls mankind to that which leads to success, prosperity and betterment of society, ALLAH'S Messenger(ﷺ) commanded the Muslims to take part in jihad in ALLAH'S cause; and in order that they might attain the aforementioned blessings - in this life and the Hereafter - he ordered them to accept calamities - which are all from ALLAH'S Qadr with equanimity, and not to become depressed or open the outcome;" for to do so will lead to anger and despair, and these are the works of the devil. Instead he guided them to that which is better and more worthy, which is to say: "ALLĀH (ﷺ) has decreed ˹it˺ and what HE willed HE has done."
BENEFITS DERIVED FROM THIS HADITH
1⃣. That undertaking the necessary precautions in order to achieve one's objectives does not conflict with Tawhīd.
2⃣. That man has a measure of free will and is not driven helplessly by events.
3⃣. That despair conflicts with seeking help from ALLĀH.
4⃣. The forbiddance of seeking help from other than ALLĀH in those matters over which they have no control.
5⃣. That Islam encourages the Muslim to work and be productive.
6⃣. The prohibition of rejecting ALLĀH'S Qadr.
7⃣. That good and evil are ordained by ALLĀH.
8⃣. Confirmation of ALLAH'S Divine Attribute of Will in a manner befitting HIS Majesty.
9⃣. Confirmation of ALLĀH'S Divine Attribute of Action.
1⃣0⃣. That belief in ALLĀH'S Qadr is a cure for what ails the heart and leads to mental peace and stability.

THE FIRST DEED TO BE ACCOUNTED FOR IS SALĀH
Abu Hurairah (May ALLĀH be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of ALLĀH (ﷺ) said, "The first of man's deeds for which he will be called to account on the Day of Resurrection will be Salāh. If it is found to be perfect, he will be safe and successful; but if it is incomplete, he will be unfortunate and a loser. If any shortcoming is found in the obligatory Salāh, the Glorious and Exalted RUBB will command to see whether HIS slave has offered any voluntary Salāh so that the obligatory Salāh may be made up by it. Then the rest of his actions will be treated in the same manner." {At- Tirmidhi}
📚 Riyādhus-Saliḥīn #1081
LESSONS AND BENEFITS:
● The great importance of Salāh and its superiority over other acts of worship.
● Salāh is among the first deeds about which a person will be questioned on the Day of Judgment.
● Salāh must be performed with sincerity, presence of heart, and in accordance with the Sunnah of the Prophet (ﷺ) as he (ﷺ) commanded: "Pray as you have seen me pray"
● The individual should continually learn the rulings of Salāh to review his Salāh and correct mistakes before standing for accountability.
● The soundness of a person's Salāh makes his reckoning easy on the Day of Judgment.
● Supererogatory Salāh complement the obligatory ones. So, a wise person would be keen to offer supererogatory Salāh to make up for any deficiency in his obligatory Salāh and to attain the love of his Lord.
● Out of HIS mercy towards HIS servants, ALLĀH has legislated for them supererogatory Salāh as a safeguard and in recognition of the great status of the obligations, and to make up for any deficiency in them.
● There's no safety and success for the one who doesn't offer Salāh.
O ALLĀH! Make us an establiher of Salah, aid us in worshipping YOU in the best way and overlook our shortcomings.

REMINDER: FASTING AL-AYYĀM AL-BĪD (THE WHITE DAYS) FOR MUHARRAM 1448AH
The white days of the month refer to the 13th, 14th, and 15th of each lunar month. The moon is at its fullest and most luminous during this period. Fasting on these days is sunnah, mentioned in various hadith.
Abu Dharr said: The Messenger of ALLĀH ﷺ said to me: "If you fast any part of the month, then fast the 13th, 14th, and 15th." {An-Nasai #2424}
Abdullāh ibn 'Amr ibn al-'As said: The Messenger of ALLĀH ﷺ said to me: "It is sufficient for you to fast three days every month because, for every good deed, you will have ˹the reward of˺ ten like it, so that will be like fasting for a lifetime." {Al-Bukhārī #1874}
Abu Hurayrah said: "My close friend (the Prophet ﷺ) advised me to do three things which I will not give up until I die: fasting three days of each month, praying Duha, and sleeping after Witr." {Muslim #721}
It is also worth noting that the month of Muharram is the best month for fasting after Ramadān, as the Prophet ﷺ said: "The best fasting after Ramadān is fasting in the month of ALLĀH, Muḥarram." {Muslim #1163}
Combining the virtue of Muharram with the Sunnah of the White Days makes these days even more significant. Therefore, be keen, be mindful, and eager to take advantage of these blessed opportunities.

Repost from Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah - Pearls of Wisdom
BENEFITS OF PRONOUNCING ADHAN IN NEWBORN'S EAR
Ibn al-Qayyim (may ALLĀH have mercy on him) said:
"The reason behind uttering the adhān, which ALLĀH knows best, is to make the first thing a person hears in its words, the glory and might of ALLĀH, and the creed of Islam which is its first deed. It is as though he or she is inspired by the creed of Islam upon entering this life, just as he or she is urged to utter it (Laa ilāha ill-Allāh) upon his departure from it (i.e., at the time if death).
It is not improbable for the effect of the adhan to reach the child's heart and influence it, even if he or she does not feel it at the time.
Another benefit of such an act is to repel Shayṭān away with the adhan's words; he is waiting for the child to be born in order to accompany him or her throughout the trial, which ALLĀH had decreed and willed. Therefore, Shayṭān hears what weakens and frustrates him at the first moments of his company.
Another meaning that it entails is to make the invitation to ALLĀH, HIS religion of Islam and HIS worship preceding to the invitation of Shayṭān, just as the nature upon which ALLĀH created him or her was preceding to Shayṭān's alteration, in addition to other reasons. ALLĀH knows best."

THE COMMAND TO PONDER OVER THE QUR'ĀN
ALLĀH says,
أَفَلَا يَتَدَبَّرُونَ الْقُرْانَ
Will they not then ponder on the Qur’ān?
Here ALLĀH enjoins pondering HIS Book, which means contemplating the meaning and studying its principles and lessons intensely, along with whatever helps to achieve that aim. Pondering the Book of ALLĀH is the key to knowledge, and all that is good and all types of knowledge may be found therein. By doing that, faith will increase and become deeply rooted in the heart.
For the Qur’an teaches us about the Lord whom we worship, and HIS attributes of perfection, and that HE is to be declared above all shortcomings. It sets out for us the route that leads to HIM and describes the characteristics of the people who follow it, and what they will attain when they come to HIM. It informs us of our real enemy and tells us of the path that will lead to punishment, and describes...⬇️

THE LEVELS OF THE FAST OF ĀSHŪRĀ
Shaykh Abdullāh ibn Sāliḥ al-Fawzān (may ALLĀH preserve him upon goodness) said:
The people of knowledge have mentioned that there are four levels to fasting the Day of 'Ashūrā:
THE FIRST LEVEL: Fast three days: The 9th, the 10th and the 11th. They use as evidence the hadith of Ibn 'Abbās (may ALLĀH be pleased with them),
"Be different from the Jews, fast a day before it and a day after it." {Al-Bayhaqi, 4/287}
This hadith is da'if (weak) and there is no justification for that except if it is said that the virtue of fasting the three days is additional to the virtue of 'Äshūrā since it is a sacred month that has been encouraged to fast in some narrations, and that one would achieve the virtue of fasting three days every month. There is a report regarding al-Imam Ahmad (may ALLĀH have mercy on him) that he said,
"Whoever wants to fast 'Āshūrā then let him fast the 9th and the 10th unless the start of the months is obscure, then let him fast three days. Ibn Sīrīn said this." {Al-Mughni, 4/441}
THE SECOND LEVEL: Fasting the 9th and 10th. This is what most of the aḥādīth show, as has preceded.
THE THIRD LEVEL: Fasting the 9th and 10th or the 10th and 11th. They use as evidence the hadith of Ibn 'Abbās (may ALLĀH be pleased with them) that is raised to the Prophet (ﷺ),
"Fast the Day of 'Ashūrā, be different in that from the Jews. Fast a day before it or a day after it." The hadith is da'ïf (weak).
THE FOURTH LEVEL: To single out the 10th day for fasting. There are those from the people of knowledge that dislike that since it is imitation of the People of the Book. This is the statement of Ibn 'Abbās according to what is famous from him and it is the madhhab of al-Imām Ahmad and some of the Hanafis.
Others said: It is not disliked because it is one of the virtuous days, and it is recommended to capture its virtue by fasting it. What is more apparent is that it is disliked for the one who has the ability to join it with a day before or after but that does not negate the reward of the one who fasted it by itself; rather he is rewarded if ALLĀH, the Most High, wills.
O ALLĀH! Grant us success to do what pleases YOU and distance us from acts of disobedience towards YOU; make us from YOUR righteous worshipers and YOUR successful group; pardon us and accept our repentance; and forgive us - O ALLĀH, our parents and all the Muslims.

THE COMMAND TO SEEK SHELTER WITH ALLĀH ALONE
ALLĀH says,
فَفِرُّوا إِلَى اللَّهِ
So, flee to ALLĀH!
What is meant is to flee from that which ALLĀH hates, both outwardly and inwardly, to that which HE loves, both outwardly and inwardly, fleeing from ignorance to knowledge, from disbelief to faith, from sin to obedience, and from heedlessness to remembrance of ALLĀH.
Whoever does all of that has done all that religion requires of him; he will be spared all that he fears and he will attain all that he seeks.
ALLĀH describes turning to HIM as fleeing, because turning to anyone other than HIM will result in all kinds of fearful outcomes and troubles, whereas turning to HIM leads to all that one loves, security, joy, happiness and triumph.
You would flee from everyone you fear, except ALLĀH; the more you fear HIM, the more you flee to HIM.

Repost from AlBaseerah
THE DAY OF 'ĀSHŪRĀ THROUGHOUT HISTORY
'A'ishah (may ALLĀH be pleased with him) narrated,
"The Day of 'Ashūrā was fasted by the Quraysh in the period before Islām and ALLAH'S Messenger (ﷺ) used to fast it before Islām. When he came to Madīnah he fasted it and ordered it to be fasted. When Ramadān was obligated he gave up the Day of 'Āshūrā, so whoever wanted fasted it and whoever wanted left it." {Al-Bukhārī #2002 and Muslim #1125}.
This hadith is evidence that the people of jāhiliiyah used to know about 'Āshūrā, it was a famous day among them, and they used to fast it. The Prophet (ﷺ) used to fast it also and continued fasting it before migrating. He (ﷺ) did not command the people to fast it (after Ramadān was legislated). This is evidence for the sacredness of this day and the greatness of its status among the Arabs in the period before Islām, before the sending of the Prophet (ﷺ). Due to this they used to cover the Ka'bah on this day as is found in the hadith of 'A'ishah (may ALLĀH be pleased with her) who said,
"They used to fast 'Āshūrā before Ramadān was obligated and it was the day they covered the Ka'bah..." {Al-Bukhārī #1952}
Al-Qurtubi said, "The hadith of 'A'ishah shows that the legislation and status of fasting this day was known to them. Perhaps they based fasting it on the legislation of Ibrāhīm and Ismā'īl (peace be upon them) because they used to ascribe themselves to these Prophets and based many of their rulings for Hajj and other than that on them..." {Al-Mufhim, 3/190}
What is derived from the gathering of evidences is that fasting 'Āshūrā was obligatory in the beginning after the migration of the Prophet (ﷺ) to al-Madīnah according to the correct opinion of the people of knowledge. The command to fast it is established by the hadith of Salamah ibn al-Akwa' (may ALLĀH be pleased with him). He said,
"The Prophet (ﷺ) ordered a man from the tribe of Aslam to announce to the people: 'Whoever was eating then let him fast the rest of the day and whoever did not eat then let him fast for today is the Day of 'Ashūrā." {al-Bukhārī #2007 and Muslim #1135}
When Ramadān was made obligatory in the second year of the hijrah, the obligation to fast 'Āshūrā was abrogated but it remained recommended. The command to fast the Day of 'Ashūrā was only for one year and that was the second year of hijrah when it was obligated in the beginning of that year. Then Ramadān was obligated after half of that year passed. At the end of his life in the tenth year, the Prophet (ﷺ )determined not to fast it by itself but to fast the 9th day before it as will be shown later if ALLĀH wills. This is an instance of differing with the People of the Book in the way that they fast.

ALL SOVEREIGNTY BELONGS TO ALLĀH ALONE
ALLĀH says,
مَٰلِكِ يَوۡمِ ٱلدِّينِ
Master of the Day of Judgement
The Master (Mālik) is the one who possesses the attributes of sovereignty, one of the implications of which is that HE enjoins and forbids, rewards and punishes, and controls HIS subjects in all ways. This sovereignty is connected to the Day of Judgement, which is the Day of Resurrection, the day on which people will be judged on the basis of their deeds, both good and bad. On that day, HIS perfect sovereignty, justice and wisdom will become completely clear to HIS creation, and they will realise that created beings have no sovereignty at all. On that day, kings and subjects, slaves and free, will all be equal and will submit fully to HIS might, awaiting the reckoning, hoping for HIS reward and fearing HIS punishment. Hence this day is singled out for mention; otherwise, HE is the Master of the Day of Judgement and of all other days.

RECITING SŪRAH AL-IKHLAS THREE TIMES IS EQUIVALENT TO THE WHOLE QUR'AN IN REWARD
Shaykh Ibn Uthaymīn (may ALLĀH have mercy on him) says:
"If he recites it (Sūrah al-Ikhlās) three times, it is as if he has recited the whole Qur'an, but he is not rewarded with the same reward as if he did actually read the entire Qur'an.
It is not strange that something could be equivalent to something else yet not be rewarded with the same reward, nor takes its place.
Another example is the statement of the Prophet (ﷺ) when he said that whoever says:
Laa ilāha illAllāhu wahdahu laa shareeka lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu, wa huwa ‘alaa kulli shayin qadīr. (None has te right to be worshipped except ALLĀH alone with no partner. To HIM belongs the kingdom, and all praise is HIS, and HE is capable of anything. …then it is as if he has freed four slaves from the lineage of Ismaa’eel or the sons of Ismā'īl. (Muslim)Even with this, if a person had a legal obligation to free a slave as an expiation for some sin he had committed and then he were to say this, this would not take the place of and fulfill his obligation of actually freeing a slave. So just because something may be equal to another in some way, that does not necessarily mean it completely takes its place and its same reward." 📚 Usūl At-Tafsīr (pp.186-187) https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VbCkXG6HrDZeu5zvIA1A http://bio.link/albaseerah

THE REASON FOR CHOSING THE PROPHET'S HIJRAH ﷺ AS THE START OF THE COUNT FOR THE HIJRI CALENDAR AND MUHARRAM AS THE FIRST MONTH
Sahl ibn Sa'd (may ALLĀH be pleased with him) said: "They (the Companions) did not start the calendar from the beginning of the Prophet's mission or from his death; they only started it from the time of his arrival in Madinah." {Al-Bukhari #3934}
Ibn Hajar (may ALLĀH have mercy on him) commented: "The incidents that are connected to the life of the Prophet (ﷺ) and that could have been taken as the start of the calendar are four: his birth, the start of his mission, his migration (Hijrah) and his death. They thought it was best to start the calendar from the Hijrah, because in the case of his birth and the start of his mission, there would be uncertainty with regard to the exact year.
As for the time of his death, they chose not to use it because remembering it would renew their grief. So there was no choice left except the Hijrah.
And they chose to regard Muharram as the first month of the year rather than Rabi' Al-Awwal because the plan to migrate started to take shape in Muharram. The oath of allegiance (bay'ah) – that was the precursor to the Hijrah – had taken place during Dhul-Hijjah, and the first new moon after the oath of allegiance and the decision to migrate was that of Muharram. So it was appropriate to make it the first month of the year. This is the best explanation I have come across as to why the year starts with Muharram."

SUMMARY OF THE PROPHET'S HIJRAH (1/7)
Events Leading To The Hijrah.
...When the polytheists saw that the Companions of the Messenger of ALLĀH ﷺ had prepared themselves, departed, and taken their women, children, and wealth to the Aws and Khazraj (in Madinah), they realized that the destination was a land of protection and that its people possessed strength, courage, and military power. They feared that the Messenger of ALLĀH ﷺ would leave to join them, making his affair even stronger against them.
So they gathered in Dar al-Nadwah to discuss what should be done about him. None of their men of opinion, intelligence, and judgment stayed behind. Their ally and elder, Iblis (may ALLĀH curse him), attended them in the form of an old man from Najd, wrapped in his cloak.
They discussed the matter of the Messenger of ALLĀH ﷺ, and each person offered an opinion. But the old man (Iblis) rejected every suggestion and was not pleased with any of them. Then Abu Jahl said: "I have an opinion regarding him which I do not think any of you have considered."
They asked, "What is it?"
He replied: "I think we should take from every tribe of Quraysh a strong and capable young man, give each of them a sharp sword, and then have them strike him together as one man. In this way, his blood will be divided among all the tribes, and the clan of Banu Abd Manaf will not know what to do afterward. They will not be able to wage war against all the tribes, and we will pay them the blood-money."
The old man said: "Well done, young man! By ALLĀH, this is the opinion!"
So they dispersed, united upon that plan and firmly resolved to carry it out.
Then Jibrīl came with revelation from his Lord, Blessed and Exalted, informing the Prophet ﷺ of their plot and commanding him not to sleep in his bed that night...
