🌟 The markets witnessed some relief after the past week’s dreadful performance as prices traded within a narrow range during the first three sessions followed by an attempt on Friday to extend the gains, with the week concluding with a modest gain of around one percent for Nifty 50 which closed just above 23800.
🌟 While consolidation is expected over the next few sessions that mark the end of the calendar year, 23600–23500 zone is anticipated to act as a critical support level and a breach could reignite the downtrend, potentially driving prices further down towards 23300–23200. An immediate resistance is expected at 24000 and breakout could extend it to 24150-24250.
🌟 The market participants are advised to monitor the key levels and structure their strategies accordingly. Also, the upcoming week holds significance as the market’s performance during the early days of January often sets the tone for near-term trends.
🌟 BANKNIFTY took a breather and consolidated itself this week, after facing a carnage last week, as the heavyweight index gained 1.3% and closed just around the 51300 level. A stiff resistance is expected at 51800-52000, from where the index has repeatedly failed to sustain further, and immediate support can be found in the 50900-50700 zone followed by sacrosanct support in the 49800-49700 band.
