Episode 257: Sub Postmaster
Derpy Hooves was falsely imprisoned during the 1999-2015 Equestrian Post Office Scandal. The horse government would not admit there was a fault in the finances computer program they bought from HorseFujitsu. Those in power that hushed everypony have walked free or with severance package intact, while hundreds of family's lives were destroyed. After all, who would question the royalty's computer for being shitty at floating point? Perhaps the reason Derpy Hooves remains imprisoned a decade after it was fixed is because it lets certain horse political parties campaign for her release, and actually freeing her would defeat this attractive stance, and because compensation might be really expensive considering she's been in over a quarter of a century.
