Investigators believe that the fuselage, with Vulović pinned inside, landed at an angle on a snow-covered mountainside which cushioned the impact of her fall. Vulović told reporters that she did not think of her fall every day, but admitted to struggling with survivor’s guilt. The Tower of Hercules The lighthouse is known to have existed by the 1st century, and has been in constant use since the 2nd century. It is considered to be the oldest existent lighthouse in the world. The structure stands 180 feet tall, and it is located in Galicia, in north-western Spain. The ancient Romans called this area Finis Terrae, “end of the world”.
