Hum Yahin Hain (From Raakh).mp3

Disappoint people. Make choices that make people wonder if you've lost your mind. Fly off the handle. Learn to be alone, but learn to be with others too. Smile when you're sad, just to confuse those who are trying to bring you down. Live a good life. Be kind when you can and understanding when you can't. Be irreplaceable, undefeatable, incorrigible. Do all of the small things with grace, laughter and an unshakeable belief in what's to come. You're electric, never-ceasing. You'll be fine.

Every "no" isn't a rejection. Sometimes it's a redirection toward something bigger, healthier, and more aligned with who you'
Every "no" isn't a rejection. Sometimes it's a redirection toward something bigger, healthier, and more aligned with who you're becoming. The job, relationship, opportunity, or door that closed wasn't necessarily a loss—it may have been protection. Trust the process. Your next chapter could be better than the one you were fighting to hold onto. ✨

Hi, it’s me. That friend who slowly disappeared from most of your lives. I’m sorry for choosing to isolate myself since last year. Sorry for missing birthdays that I should’ve remembered. Sorry for not saying congrats when you graduated or achieved something big in your life. I saw your stories. I did. But I stopped myself from replying, from texting, from leaving even a small message. It’s weird… I started getting scared that the conversation would go on too long. Scared that you’d ask me about my life. And me? I don’t really have much to say. I’m still here, at a point in life where it feels like everyone else has already moved ahead. You’re all far in front of me. But honestly, I’m not jealous. Not envious. I’m just… sad at how slow my own journey feels compared to everyone else. So don’t expect me to show up for now. I’m comfortable being alone, with my family by my side. And even if I do come back, maybe it won’t be like before, when we were close and everything felt easy. Time keeps moving. It never slows down. I’m just here, trying to run and catch up with what I once dreamed of.

We often think grief only arrives when someone dies. But grief is an emotion we also experience when something meaningful comes to an end. The relationship you pictured lasting a lifetime. The job you thought you would have forever. The home you had to leave behind. The version of yourself that no longer fits with the life you are trying to create. Truth is: growth and grief often travel together. Every new chapter requires the closing of another and every reinvention will cost you who you used to be. You are excited about what is ahead while mourning what came before. And both feelings can exist at the same time. So if you are grieving a chapter of your life, be gentle with yourself for some of the hardest losses are the ones no one sees. @SimonAlexanderO

“Every event has two handles—one by which it can be carried, and one by which it can’t. If your brother does you wrong, don’t grab it by his wronging, because this is the handle incapable of lifting it. Instead, use the other—that he is your brother, that you were raised together, and then you will have hold of the handle that carries.” — Epictetus The Daily Stoic

Even the Gardner may water a hundred buckets but the fruit arrives only when right season come. Just as plant takes its time to grow into a tree and bear fruits, similarly, every good thing takes its time. You have to do lots of hard work to achieve goals, especially big goals, and this requires patience and perseverance.

A lot of people have asked me to do develop rudeness :) being kind is not the nature that is accepted these days.

The biggest mistake you make after seeing progress is announcing it. You finally get momentum, a little money, a little peace, a little discipline, and instead of protecting it, you start broadcasting it to people who were comfortable when you were losing. Move quietly. Let the fruit speak later. Not every blessing needs an audience, and not every step forward needs witnesses. Some progress dies because it was exposed too early.

I got the chills from this: In life, you will fall out with people that you never thought you would. Get betrayed by people you trusted with all of your heart. And get used by people you would do anything for. But life also has a beautiful side to it. You will get loved by someone you never thought you would have. Form new friendships with people that will establish more meaningful and stronger relationships. And overcome things you never thought you would get over. We all have chapters that end with people at some point in life. But take pride in knowing that the very best part of your book is still being written.

“.. each person’s life is a kind of battle, and a long and varied one too. You must keep watch like a soldier and do everything commanded. . . . You have been stationed in a key post, not some lowly place, and not for a short time but for life.” Vivere est militare. (To live is to fight.) Get up, O Farida, you who are sleeping, go and see the world. Perhaps you will find someone kind; then you too should forgive and move on. Hasten, hasten, go O Farida, hasten, hasten, go. See, O Farida, those whose beards have turned grey. Death has come near from the front, while the past has been left far behind. Hasten, hasten, go O Farida, hasten, hasten, go. Get up, O Farida, you who are sleeping — sweep the mosque. You are asleep, but God is awake; you have love for your own ego. Hasten, hasten, go O Farida, hasten, hasten, go. Get up, O Farida, you who are sleeping — perform the morning prayer. The head that does not bow before the Lord — cut off and remove that head. Hasten, hasten, go O Farida, hasten, hasten, go. The body has become a dry skeleton; crows peck at the veins. Still, you have not remembered God — look at the fate of this human. Hasten, hasten, go O Farida, hasten, hasten, go. Farida, those without prayer are dogs — this is not a good custom. You have never even walked to the mosque at the five appointed times. Hasten, hasten, go O Farida, hasten, hasten, go. The graves are long and wide, and on them not even a straw. You did not remember God from that side; from this side, your life will end — know this for certain. Hasten, hasten, go O Farida, hasten, hasten, go. Farida, black are my clothes, black is my attire. I am filled with faults and I wander like this, yet people call me a dervish. Hasten, hasten, go O Farida, hasten, hasten, go. Farida, those whom you thought would die — they have not died. Go to your own home and kiss the feet of those who have passed. When you've taken the time to do the work, to excavate your wounds, to cultivate your gifts, it is a betrayal to not protect who you are and what you've built. Stand in your standards. Teach people what it means to have access to you. Teach people that disrespect has consequences. Teach people that your heart is deep, but your boundaries are deeper. Teach people that anything and anyone that does not honor your life, your peace, or your becoming does not get a seat at your table. ~Branden Collinsworth
