The workaround (partial close method): If the smallest lot size on an asset is bigger than what you want to risk: 1️⃣ Enter with a slightly bigger lot size than the minimum Example: instead of minimum of 0.5, enter with 0.7 2️⃣ Immediately after entry, partially close the excess Close 0.5 instantly 3️⃣ Leave the remaining portion running You’ll be left with 0.2 running in the trade This allows you to: • Control your risk better • Avoid forcing oversized positions • Stay consistent with your risk plan even on small accounts Important things you must know: • You have to be FAST when doing this • Once you leave the remaining position (e.g. 0.2), you can’t reduce it again • That remaining position will run till SL or TP • This is not for slow hands or emotional traders • Only use this when your setup is already valid and planned This is not a trick to gamble. It’s a risk management adjustment for platforms with annoying minimum lot sizes. If you don’t fix how you control risk, no strategy will save your account.

HOW TO RISK SMALLER ON DERIV SYNTHETIC INDICES (when the minimum lotsize is too big) One MAJOR killer of small accounts is being forced to over-risk because of minimum lot size. When you have a setup to trade. You place your stop loss. And you discover with your minimum lotsize (e.g. 0.50) the risk amount is $15… But you only wanted to risk maybe $5–$8.
