Here’s how trigger works, whenever you experience something that reminds of you a trauma/ a couple of them/ your whole body or mind goes through the pain just like the first time you endured the trauma.
•Physical Touch (abuse, sexual assault or a traumatic accident)
•Words (verbal abuse, discouragements, or taking you back to a certain traumatic incident)
•Scenes from movies, videos or real life experiences.
Be patient with yourself if anything is triggering for your mind or body, it takes a gradual process to grow out of the trauma body. Do not rush yourself so you could heal to make the people around you happy or be less frustrated with you😊

Every experience without you is a different type of heartbreak...
“Hey, I got out of bed today-“
“Hey, I ate today-“
I begin typing only to take it all back. It’s hard to get used to you know? Not sharing my happiest moments with you.
I dial the numbers I know by heart so to hear your voice, listen to you go crazy about a song you just discovered, maybe tease you a little and hear your laugh only to end it quick. How long will it take to believe you’re no longer mine?

“My mother and father could not always be there to protect me. No matter the depth of my mother’s love or how fierce her embrace, she could not protect me from the evil in the world, nor, it seemed, could all her novenas. Even then I began to question my faith and my mother’s belief in God’s will. What kind of God would allow this to happen to a child?”
