HOW DOES AI KNOW AN APPLE IS A FRUIT AND NOT A PHONE?
Most people think AI simply reads words and understands their meaning.
But that's not quite how it works.
Meet Vector Embeddings.
Instead of storing meaning as words, AI turns concepts into numbers called vectors.
Think of it like a map:
🍎 Apple (fruit) → close to → Banana, Orange, Mango
📱 Apple (company) → close to → iPhone, Mac, iPad
The closer the vectors, the more similar the meaning.
That's why AI can understand that:
“tasty red breakfast fruit”
is probably talking about an apple — even when the word apple isn't there.
A common misconception:
❌ AI understands concepts exactly like humans.
✅ AI represents relationships mathematically and measures how close they are.
AI doesn't need to match the exact word.
It learns the relationships behind the words.

Think about the SolarWinds attack in 2020.
The attackers didn't break into every target directly.
They compromised a trusted software update and used it as a way in.
That's a Supply Chain Attack.
Instead of attacking you directly, attackers compromise something you trust and use that connection to reach you.
Companies depend on:
Third-party vendors
Software libraries and dependencies
Trusted software updates
A common misconception:
❌ My code is secure, so I'm secure.
✅ I also inherit risks from what I depend on.
So if your own security is perfect..
Are you unhackable?
No.
You're only as strong as the weakest link in your chain.
Trust is the attack surface.
Sometimes, the way into a company is through something it already trusts.

But being online doesn't always mean being searchable.
Think about this:
Is your Gmail inbox part of the Surface Web, Deep Web, or Dark Web?
The answer:
Deep Web.
It's online, but Google can't search your emails.
The internet is often compared to an iceberg:
Surface Web — Public and searchable.
Deep Web — Online but not searchable by the public.
Dark Web — Intentionally hidden networks.
A common misconception:
❌ Deep Web = Illegal
✅ Deep Web = Hidden from public search
So if Google can't find a website...
Does that mean it's on the Dark Web?
No.
A website can be normal and still never appear in search results.
Not everything online is searchable.
And not everything hidden is illegal.

With 450+ applications, we want to be transparent about how final selections were made.
Phase 1: Application Review
Our team personally read every single applicant's written response on why they wanted to join. From this, 133 students were shortlisted for an entrance exam.
Phase 2: Entrance Exam
Shortlisted candidates took a 15-question exam on pattern recognition and logical thinking, plus one written question on why they specifically needed this bootcamp, which we also read individually. From this, 53 students were selected.
