Or better yet, use the add-on "privacy redirect" 🙄 A web extension that redirects Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Google Maps, Reddit, Google Search, & Google Translate requests to privacy friendly alternative frontends for those sites - Nitter, Invidious, FreeTube, Bibliogram, OpenStreetMap, SimplyTranslate & Private Search Engines like DuckDuckGo and searx. It's possible to toggle all redirects on and off. The extension will default to using random instances if none are selected. You can even set a custom instance. Since Musk announced his interest in buying up Twitter, there has been a small Exodus. We can recommend Mastodon, or ever broader, the fediverse, as an alternative for Twitter or other social media. Its Open Source, decentralized (at least in theory) and not driven by optimization algorithms aimed at keeping you engaged or mining your for data.
