The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "The most beloved of people to Allah are those who are most beneficial to people. And the most beloved deed to Allah Almighty is happiness that you bring to a fellow Muslim, or relieving him of a hardship, or paying off a debt for him, or expelling hunger from him." — Sahih At-Targhib wa At-Tarhib

•• One woman says: "Before my driver travelled back to his country, I asked him: What gift would you like for your family?" He said: "I want a perfume like yours for my wife, ma'am..!" She says: "I felt dizzy and everything went dark before my eyes; I never thought that my scent was lingering in his mind..! So let anyone who thinks that the driver or the vendor has no feelings reflect and take lesson..!" The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Any woman who puts on perfume and then goes out and passes by a group of people so that they may smell her fragrance is an adulteress..!"

Two loves that cannot coexist: Love for Allah and love for sins. Love for struggle (Jihad) and love for worldly life. Love for sacrifice and love for money. Love for truth and love for power/leadership. Love for peace and love for revenge.

﴿الْمَالُ وَالْبَنُونَ زِينَةُ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا ۖ وَالْبَاقِيَاتُ الصَّالِحَاتُ خَيْرٌ عِندَ رَبِّكَ ثَوَابًا وَخَيْرٌ أَمَلًا﴾ [ الكهف: 46] 《 Wealth and children are [but] adornment of the worldly life. But the enduring good deeds are better to your Lord for reward and better for [one's] hope.》 Surah Al-Kahf 46

Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said; Wasting time is worse than death, because wasting time cuts you off from Allah and the Hereafter, whereas death cuts you off from this world and its people.

Wahb Ibn Munabbih رحمه الله said: If you hear a man praising you with what is not in you, then do not feel safe that he will blame you with what is not in you. {سير ٣:٤٤٨}

An old Arabic proverb reads: حافظ على بيتك نظيفاً كانك تنتظر ضيوفاً، وحافظ على قلبك نقيّاً كانك تنتظر الموت Keep your home clean as though you are expecting guests. And keep your heart pure as though you are expecting death.

Ibn Taymiyah once wrote: [ما رأيت شيئاً يغذي العقل والروح ويحفظ الـجسم ويضمن السعادة أكثـر من إدامة النظر فـي كتاب الله تعـالى] I have never seen anything which nourishes the intellect and soul, preserves the body, and ensures happiness more than consistently reading from Allah's Book. [Majmoo' al-Fatawa 7/493]

What’s more beloved to Allāh?
Pardoning is more beloved to Him than vengeance, mercy is more beloved to Him than punishment, grace is more beloved to Him than justice, and giving is more beloved to Him than withholding.

Prophet ﷺ said,
He who slaps the cheeks, tears the clothes and follows the tradition of the Days of Ignorance is not from us.
[Bukhari 1297]

When The Heart Is Agitated Imam Ibn Al-Qayyim A-Jawzeeyah [رحمه الله] said: «إذا اضطرب القلب وقلق فليس له ما يطمئن به سوى ذكر الله.»
When the heart is agitated and has anxiety then there is nothing that will make it tranquil other than the Dhikr [remembrance] of Allaah.
[Madarij As-Salikeen, (3/72)]

•• وعن أبي سعيد وأبي هريرة رضي الله عنهما عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال‏:‏ ‏ "‏ما يصيب المسلم من نصب ولا وصب ولا هم ولا حزن ولا أذى ولا غم، حتى الشوكة يشاكها إلا كفر الله بها من خطاياه‏"‏ ‏ (‌‏(‏متفق عليه‏)‌‏)‏ ‏.‏ '‏و‏ ‏الوصب‏ ‏':‏ المرض .‏ Abu Sa'id and Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Never a believer is stricken with a discomfort, an illness, an anxiety, a grief or mental worry or even the pricking of a thorn but Allah will expiate his sins on account of his patience". [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

Two Types of Innovation
Sheikh ‘Abd al-Rahman al-Sa’di writes in his tafsir:
البدعة نوعان: نوع يتعبد لله بعبادة, لم يشرعها أصلا، ونوع يتعبد له بعبادة قد شرعها على صفة مخصوصة, فتفعل على غير تلك الصفة
There are two types of innovation: 1. A type wherein one worships Allah with an act of worship whose very basis is not divinely legislated. 2. The other type is to worship Him with an act of worship which has been divinely legislated in a certain condition, but then to practice it upon something other than that condition.
[Taysir al-Kareem al-Rahman pg. 72]

•• "Satan does not retreat when he fails; rather, he changes the level of the battle." If you survive disbelief, he comes to you with religious innovations (Bid'ah). If you survive innovations, he tries to drop you into major sins (Kabā'ir). If you survive major sins, he tries to drop you into minor sins (Saghā'ir). "Indeed, Satan is an enemy to you; so take him as an enemy." — Surah Fatir (35:6)

O'Allah, rectify my inner intentions

(55) Allāh has promised those who have believed among you and done righteous deeds that He will surely grant them succession [to authority] upon the earth just as He granted it to those before them and that He will surely establish for them [therein] their religion which He has preferred for them and that He will surely substitute for them, after their fear, security, [for] they worship Me, not associating anything with Me. But whoever disbelieves after that - then those are the defiantly disobedient.
