In the vast UPSC crowd, I’ve seen how quickly students turn into nameless, faceless dots, just another roll number on a sheet, just another chair occupied in a coaching hall. And the irony? It’s merciless. The moment results are declared, a handful of names are picked up, polished, and paraded like legends, while the rest simply dissolve into silence. But I know the truth: behind those “unseen” faces are the same sleepless nights, the same Maggi at 2 a.m. The world forgets them in an instant, but I can’t.
Because I’ve lived it. I know exactly how one good mentor, at the right time, can flip the destination of your whole journey. And yet, there are so many students right now stumbling forward, unsure whether they’re even walking in the right direction, doubting every step, waiting for a sign that never comes. It’s not that they lack effort (To be honest some lack effort too); it’s that they lack someone who says, “I see you, and you matter, even if the world doesn’t.” or maybe even say Bhai, tu galat raste pe marathon daud raha hai. (Also some when they get into 2-3 attempts don't feel the need to ask for help, they have a experience biasness, If your mentor individually understands you, you have no clue about how much time waste can stop. (there are 2-3 of my students i have scolded so much tbh)
So here’s my promise, raw, blunt, and maybe a little foolish: I’ll try to do justice to as many as I can, in whatever way I can. No, I won’t save the entire UPSC herd, let’s be real, I’m not running an NGO for broken dreams. But if even a few faceless strugglers find their way, if even a handful avoid wasting years chasing the wrong mirage, then maybe their stories won’t fade into the dust. And if that means being the annoying voice who keeps reminding you to get your act together, so be it. Better a mentor who nags, than a crowd that forgets.!
P.s let’s see how many want to do that one free amazing brain storming session with me (listen to the Audio)

Did you know that Gulf of Aqaba is also known by the name of Gulf of Eilat !!
The Gulf of Aqaba or Gulf of Eilat is a large gulf at the northern tip of the Red Sea, east of the Sinai Peninsula and west of the Arabian Peninsula. Its coastline is divided among four countries: Egypt, Israel, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia. The northernmost coral reef in the world is situated near the Eilat shore.
Why is it relevant? The article was published in The Hindu and is related to Coral Reefs which is a favourite zone of UPSC. The strategic location of Aqaba Gulf is another good reason why you should know it. Also, COP 27 under UNFCC was held here.
